Don't know if it's been said yet, but High Ping (unless it's massively over 300) should not be a problem for landing shots. The problem, most likely, is fluctuating ping more than high ping.

In this game, there is an aiming aid called Host State Rewind. This helps compensate for higher ping. However, HSR can not compensate for an unstable ping. If your ping jumps from 250-300 (for example), then HSR can only do so much to help you, but the fluctuation in the ping (yours or your targets) will hinder your accuracy.

As for jerks who insult other players, ignore them. They are in every game, and the most you can do is report them to support and let them deal with the offender. Other than that, just try and be understanding of other players (so you don't go doing the same thing), and just try and have fun. It's a game after all. (If you really have to, you can also turn off the chats, so you don't have to hear anyone else saying anything. However, this can be both good and bad, as then you can't hear any tactics or possible compliments.)

Need to correct this.
HSR for Lasers doesn't work well for High Ping period.

I've heard mixed things about this. Some people say Lasers are the only things that still work anymore reliably. Other people say they don't work (within the same ping levels). I don't think it's ping level, it's ping stability that effects lasers (and missiles, and ballistics). With some people having high stable ping having good results, and others with unstable pings having poor results.

Of course, I reserve the right that I could be wrong...

News from the Town Hall going on right now: Improvements to hitreg! Currently it doesn't properly rewind a mechs position with relation to twist or arm location. This explains a lot why people with high pings have had weird experiences with hit reg

Lasers I hear are reliable for low ping.
They are terrible for High Ping... Sure you and HIT stuff as in Red Cross hair but... Lasers are Damage over Time. Damage wise is fail unless target is completely.

*RUSS, HSR 2.0 possibly coming in July 7th !!!
