Feel, ripped off over the Camo.

Sure the early access deal said 21st, then Russ comes up with his "Its my understanding the camo for the first two will be ready on the 16th"

Well he was correct, its ready, but to use it now, we have to pay extra, because the product we paid for, is being withheld for no good reason other than PGI hope some of us will crumble, and pay even more for it.

Really poor business model, troll your paying customers, look guys its ready, but you can't have it until we said so.


Its like buying a car having it delivered, a month early, and then being told that the optional extras that were agreed to are ready, but you can't have them, by the way, there are some in the show room you can buy, rather than wait.

Would you buy another car off them, when you had another 200 in the Garage back home ?

For me i dont care about camo but i can see your point. Clan wave one is still waiting on slugs for the ac weapons.

Russ is correct, they where ready on the 16th but you won't be getting them free unless you wait.

Why would i buy into wave 3 when u got the DOA exe and no details about MASC till 6 days before being released?

at $30 per level of the release i can buy and recently did buy a complete game with all dlc for under $15 on steam. So why would i buy into yet another wave that doesn't provide information about an important feature, MASC, when without the early adopter bonuses it's not worth the price?

I was told I'd get the camo on the 21st of July when I bought the package. Russ screwed up and mentioned that camos work now, but the free ones won't be given out until the 21st of July, exactly the same date I was originally told I'd get them.

I'm failing to see how I got ripped off or anything else shady/wrong/immoral/whatever since the date I was told when I bought the package hasn't changed at all. Camos WORK on the (I) now, that's what Russ was talking about, misconstruing his statement doesn't make HIM or PGI at fault.

I dunno, it said injected the 21st July, I bought it with that expectation, I'm willing to wait until then.
Doesn't really matter if they're ready early, they're injecting them all on time, when they said they would.

If that's really the case, then it isn't bait and switch. I never looked into Clan Wave 3, so I wouldn't know.

I bought early for the "early adopters" bonuses... But you know what, kind of getting tired of this game and business model, already spent almost 1000 bucks here, enough to buy a car... ( a crappy one, but still)

The problem is that making the camo available for MC purchase BEFORE it is available for those who purchased the Wave 3 package is that it alienates the customer who bought Wave 3: isn't the camo part of the Wave 3 package? Considering that you can buy the camo for MC currently there are some solutions that could have prevented alienating some of their customers: unlocking the camo to the customer who bought the package, or just not unlocking the camo AT ALL until the intended release date of the 21st.

Is that really true regarding MC though? Again, I have no idea or horse in this race.

Why not delay the MC camo purchases a month or two so that the package buyers could get some "value" for their early purchase?

Oh yeah, the added revenue stream...that's why.

It's true, the camo can be bought for MC before before it is unlocked for those who purchased Wave 3. It's alienating regardless of extra revenue, sadly.

I had the EBJ preordered.....because the Shadowcat/EBJ are CSJ mechs...and I wanted to use them primarily...

Then PGI nerfed the stormcrow and Timber...I went "hrmm do not feel like investing in tech as PGI will nerf if 3-4 months from now" and cancelled....

I bought in at the executioner level. Knew what I was getting from the start. Actually pleasantly surprised the executioner is better than I was hoping.
