I bought the resistance they started off junky haha At least you would get 4 months :)

I already own a Summoner...I think I paid the price for thinking PGI might give a crap about every previous MW title...(where the Summoner owned)

I had the EBJ preordered.....because the Shadowcat/EBJ are CSJ mechs...and I wanted to use them primarily...

Then PGI nerfed the stormcrow and Timber...I went "hrmm do not feel like investing in tech as PGI will nerf if 3-4 months from now" and cancelled....

If you play a PVP game and don't expect nerfs, then I believe you're not thinking properly.
Nerfs/buffs are bound to happen, it's not a question of "if"' it's a question of "when".

Balance and meta are things that will always change around and the nerfs/buffs are something that will follow and cause said changes.

You can avoid paying extra by just not using the camos until you receive them. Until then, just use the damn default pattern but with whatever other colors you have unlocked, with no additional charge.

Clan mechs default camo is... garbage for all intents and purposes.

The IS never suffered from this.

I actually bought some DIFFERENT camos totally for my EBJ(I) and Exec(I), since I happen to like different camos for them over the Clan camos, and to me, the fact that I CAN actually apply a different camo is awesome as hell, since that wasn't possible before the Wave III release.

THAT is what Russ was talking about, the fact that we can now put NON-Clan faction camos on the (I) variants, not that the Clan Faction camos were injected, but that we could use ANY camo on them.

So, no, no feeling of being lied to, mislead, or that there was a cash grab going on, nothing at all shady from PGI at all, since the Clan Wave III FAQ is and has been very clear, faction camos on July 21st, no changes to that, and Russ never said we'd get them injected early. People not paying attention isn't PGI's mistake.

The default colors are crap, but you can change them out with your own colors to make it sorta presentable.

Frankly, I just make most of my mechs black, grey, or both because I don't want to stand out too much... Plus I can't really look at the robot in-game very often anyways, so it doesn't matter as much. It's not about how they look on the outside, but about how min-maxed they are on the inside. :P

I use Invasion Grey and Polygon Grey on my Clan Mechs and it seems to work pretty well. It might actually be a bit too dark, because really dark Mechs stand out almost as much as bright colors.

On my IS Mechs I use Camo Dark Green, Camo Dark Tan, and Basic Green. Neutral colors, medium tone... the Mechs basically disappear at range and don't stand out up close.

I dunno, I was expecting this scenario when they announced they would be camo ready. And tried to calm overly excited people down with that fact :P

I AM slightly disappointed the early-early adopter people didn't get our free Polygon camo with launch, but, then, I'll probably never use it :P I can understand why we don't have faction selection right now, but I can't understand why we didn't get our Polygon.

It's a shady way to get the stupid to pay them twice for content they already paid for....

Ive seen alot of EBJ and EXE with clan faction skins. I asked one why he bought it and he didnt even know he was getting it in a month. So yea, a fool indeed.

My own opinion of this is as follows

PGI can do this, and for the moment get away with it.

Most of us here are old BT and MW fans, many have left, a lot of the rest, are at various levels of burn out, but sooner or later we're going to limit our spending.

PGI seem to be looking at Steam and E-sport to give the game a longer life span, and at some point the 'new wave' are going to have to take the burden of keeping the game alive, they won't care about Battle tech Fluff, or Unseen and Reseen, of the fiction behind it.

They want a good game, and if PGI continue to pull things like Exclusive, becoming Free, dropping tidbits about camo being ready, and then leaving it out as in this case, they will flip the game the bird and go play something else.

This isn't bait and switch, they said when it is going to come out, but at the moment it feels like they are milking the fans some what, I just hope someone reads this see the wisdom of not pulling things like this, and gets some savvy, I'd like the servers to still be running in three years time so I can log in and continue to play

I bought wave 3 with the early adopter program. Lovin every thing about it so far. The EXE hit box fix really did the trick on that mech. I just finished mastering them and they are a riot to play. Started working on the EBJ's today. Kind of a nice mech. It has some great hard point options but the arangement is difficult to get used to. Overall, It's nice to see clans get some new mechs.

The Buccaneer cammo patern looks awesome on the EXE.

Why would i buy into wave 3 when u got the DOA exe and no details about MASC till 6 days before being released?

at $30 per level of the release i can buy and recently did buy a complete game with all dlc for under $15 on steam. So why would i buy into yet another wave that doesn't provide information about an important feature, MASC, when without the early adopter bonuses it's not worth the price?

EXE is hardly DOA.

Just asking the question, carry on with your opinions folks

So you're stance is that since you bought a Mech(s) that come with FREE Camo, that according to the deal you signed off on, is not available to "you" until July21st, you figure that PGI should not be allowed to make that Camo available to any other of their Customers, via their virtual Store, until you get your FREE one first? Really?

Are you a "special" kind of snowflake or something?

This was part of my reasoning for cancelling was the wait and see how they are brought in line. But more so that there's ZERO, like ZERO actual content planned to be released, so much time has been wasted on crappy UI change when the old one wasn't THAT bad and just needed, SAVE LOADOUT 1 2 &3, search function and filter to make it easy. New one takes just as long to do anything, and it's not even that great, it's like smurfy, which was terrible to begin with, no double click to load an item?! Really?! And now it's UI fixes no CW additions, 1 map change(yay for destroyable objects though, happy they worked on that) if that new map is so great, it better be on rotation for about 75% of the matches and pump the other ones out lickity split.

But really there's zero actual content/game story/reason to "compete" it's just a blow up your robot with zero consequences, not fighting over planets or for bragging rights :|

I don't get all the hubbub. I find it doubtful they put the camo's in as a cash grab, they were probably just ready with this patch, and since they were done in time, they added them in. I find it even less likely it was done to alienate folks.

If you want a camo on your EBJ or EXE so bad, a one shot is dirt cheap. I made more than enough MC the last event to pay for a camo if I really am concerned about it early.

It's not much about the colors, it's about how uncolorable they are. Your choices are dark, more dark, or crazy standout (do you like neon green?)

Yes, it's all about the min-max. :D :P
