by the lore clans use a lot of older is mechs which they took with them when they left the inner sphere
those mechs use clan weapon and stuff

hunchback iic btw has double ac-20 by default, it's a solahma death or glory mech, also used for duels

But it's CLAN UAC20s so its not a frightening as IS AC20s. Plenty frightening mind you, but it's definitely not the same.

Especially when factoring in tonnage differences, after the UAC buff, I find my clan UACs to be every bit as worthwhile as any IS autocannon. They just have completely different uses. I find IS AC20s to be much more deadly against lights and mediums due to PPFLD, while Clan UACs are FAR more deadly against assaults and heavies due to insane dps\burst to weight ratio.

You know, this has been foreshadowed for a very long time...

Now, all Hunchie IIC fans, you owe it to yourselves... to RUN THAT THING STOCK AT LEAST ONCE. XD

Good thing too because it can barely outrun it.

Looks like it will go 71 with speed tweak. King Crabs typically run 53 unless you XL or run very little weapons. XL is unwise.

Lol whatever.

I will enjoy my dual Gauss poptarter very much thanks. Those shoulder mounts too. Yay!

You're right though this thing will be totally outclassed by IS mechs, just like the rest of Clan mechs we have.

How does a single JJ work on a 50 tonner?

You'd need to drop lasers for more JJs.

Will gladly drop the c ERSMLs for more JJs/ammo if I need it, but 1 JJ is fine if your weapons are on your shoulders.

Does it have Ferro stock? I don't know what Series Ab is

Does not have Ferro, but does have Endo.

Supposedly, you can add both, strip the arms, and have 31 tons of pod space.

A pair of 12 ton ballistics are feasible, LB20x don't have Ghost Heat, Gauss heatless(1).

Not sure what you mean by AB.

I'm not looking forward to them.

As if some of those mechs weren't outclassed by everything already. Now we'll have them, but better with clantech and hookers, well... maybe not hookers, but still clantech.

And if they have the customization of IS mechs, well... Isn't the only thing preventing Clan Omnis from completely obsoleting IS mechs is their lack of customization? Because i think it is, and if we're getting clan mechs that are as customizable as IS mechs, well.... Goodbye IS pilots, it was nice knowing ya.

I think people have to remember that these mechs probably won't have many real quirks as they have no real weaknesses when combining clan tech with IS adaptability. So, you are gonna get mechs that are more flexible, but are really hot. That could be cut down if people didn't try to fill every hardpoint with weapons. Seriously, I would take 5 CerML on almost any energy heavy IS heavy or assault and be happy since it still does as much, or almost as much damage then 7 medium lasers or 6 med pulse lasers at a way longer range.

If there were ever an AWS-8Q(C) variant, it would go from being a bleh mech into something crazy if it kept its current quirks. But, they probably won't keep quirks for the (C) variant mechs, so you will get more flexibility in a basic build, less fixed stuff, but more heat and worse ballistics.
In older games, you always took clan gear on your mech because it was just better. It is arguable in this game. What leaves some questions is the fact that lots of (C) variant mechs retain IS tech in them. Will they be able to take both I wonder? Then its probably broken...

....

Yes, I hope that Alex can make them really HOT (sorry for the lame joke). Anyway, just bring a lot of DHS into battle like what true Clanners do.

Can't wait for the Gauss + 2 cLPL + cER ML Highlander IIC of doom. I'm sure you can fit something else on there as well given how light cGauss is, and how taking a Clan XL is more or less as good as a standard. So excited for that :D

Edit: What?? Just read that the Lasers are not in the same side as the Gauss. LAME!

Well, the "toocee" mechs are grand and all.

i don't care.

if this is actually on the drawing board, it means the door is open for the Supernova.

Oh and Kodiak too I guess, for all you guys that don;t think the sheer sexy of the Supernova is worth ten tons of armor and weapons. (Hint: it is)
