Since people cannot or are unable to make these decisions for themselves, and blame others when they do make them, they have to be prevented from making them in the first place.
Why are you discriminating against solos like myself? Are you afraid to face me and my kind? Did a CJF PUG team touch you in all the wrong places?
On a more practical note, who is going to fill 11-man teams? Who is going to fill a 5+6 team? Who is going to fill a 7+4 team?

Ahem! If I remember correctly, the group queue was created because so many of my fellow solo players unfortunately, shamelessly, and endlessly cried that they were being touched by groupies in bad places.

The group queue was made for large teams because they were saying they couldnt make large groups. Period. Your either lying, trolling or misinformed.
Elo was supposed to make the regular queue newbie friendly. Thats what it is there for and is getting improvments to finally do that. They tried micro managing to much before was the problem I think.
The only debate is how should group queue change because the idea of 2 man groups getting stuck in the group queue has been complained about rightfully for a long while now.
For this reason and the fact the Galaxy map is large group friendly it is very likely the group queue may be removed.
The only debate is in what form 12 man teams will be included outside the Galaxy map and how large a group should be allowed in the regular queue.
All players can drop in solo or in any sized groups on the Galaxy map and there has been few complaints about it. Except from the large group if anything.
That the Galaxy map was made strictly for large group is incorrect although alot of their wishes about meaningfull battles were included in its design. Although its large group friendly it is also welcomeing to small groups and solos after its finally done from what has been said. For instance the inclusion of a 4 v 4 mission type.

Actually groups were here at the start of the game and because of a bunch of entitled self centered solo babies they forced us to play max of 4 player groups. Please get your facts strait!

Yes, please.
Let ME choose if I drop solo in the group queue. If players opt in, they opt in and can't complain. I prefer play in the Group Queue, and can't imagine a lot of really rambo-style solo players would want to opt in... but I'd appreciate having shorter queue times for myself, improving matchmaking quality in the group queue (as it would ease the tetris game to make matches with varying group sizes).

Johnny, we HAD 2-4 man teams in the Solo que for a while, AND a Group que that didn't allow them. The Sol que players screamed such a fit about getting STOMPED constantly by the 2-4 groups that they were moved to the Group que. Please do try and get YOUR facts straight and stop telling us the history of whatever fantasy land you are playing in, ok, thanks, appreciate it.
And we won't see 2 mans in the Solo que for that exact reason, Solo players ALREADY scream and cry about getting stomped when it's just solo players, they already showed they'll whine and cry when 2-4 man teams are allowed in the Solo que, so much so that 2 mans weren't allowed to stay in the Solo que, they were moved to the group que with the 3-4 mans because the SOLO PLAYER DEMANDED IT!
This has literally been an issue since this game was in CB, we had thread after thread of SOLO players demeaning the group players before we could DROP as groups, it was NOT the groups doing that, it was the solo players. There were and still occasionally are, demands to make using TeamSpeak or any other voice comm software BANNABLE! That's not a joke either, it's happened multiple times in this game's lifespan already. We have THAT anti-social of a solo playerbase in this game, and they've been catered to a LOT more than many of you realize. VOIP took so long to come about because of this playerbase being so rabid about any tools that allow teamwork or any teamwork being shown by anyone, this is not hyperbole or exaggeration boys and girls, it's the HISTORY of MWO, it's real, we STILL have those rabid anti-teamwork players in our community, they are seen right here in this thread.
I personally say they've been catered to far too damn much, team oriented game after all, just HOW much say should the people who refuse to use teamwork and demand it's use be punished have in the game?
