I was extreamly worried after seeing that hardpoints were not restricted, engine range was not restricted. It almost seemed like PGI was doing absolutely nothing to balance these new clan mechs and then i saw this

This is something they've never posted for another mech pack before. I think this says that there is a good chance something may change for balance.

That was always in the Terms of Use fine print, but now maybe less people will complain, or rather, act surprised about change.

Yea i'v never actually seen them change anything before tho. Maybe something compelled them to bring up the fine print on to the actual page

Quite possibly the 'nerfs' to the Timber Wolf and Storm Crow last month.

Yep. Just sounds like a CYA line to me given recent {scrap}storms.

Hahahaha, no they still will.

I think there are some pretty dark tinted rose colored glasses for these new mechs already. IMO, there will need to be some nega-quirks, but not too many. IMO, the HGN with it's anti-convergence hardpoint locations will be middle of the road anyway, even with clan tech. The thing is built for mixed loadouts and shares hardpoint types like :LT, RA. Etc. Arm lock or bust I guess depending on what you want to do with them.

Jenners look to be prety potent on the flip side though. Can;t go wrong with lighter weapons. 6x ERSL is close enough to 6xML on the IS side to not matter, so it will have the ability to run classic jenner loadouts with tonnage left over all the time.

Normally I understand that most of the people who complain that their toys get nerfed after a while should have read closer or learned by now

However, if you are able to change engine size/type as well as structure and armor types and then that ability gets changed, I would agree with the people who wanted their money back.
