Hi all! Having taken out our clix miniatures, me and my group were thinking about a little campaign. I'd like to make a nice story about that, but as i don't know the lore as much as i would like, i need help.
Here's the idea:
-3 players (4 if my lady want to join )
-the pool of pieces will be divided between players with an auction system (factions of models will be ignored probably)
-models that are destroyed during a game roll to see if they're killed/destroyed or simply damaged/routed; dead models will function as reserve later in future battles
-victory conditions for winning the campaign yet to determine
My first idea was a war on a planet for a rare resource/factory/technology/other fought by 3 mercenary forces hired by Houses, but i'm open to any idea!
P.S.: i hope that this is the right section for this thread

Sadly from what i know the background created by Wizkids is, to say it kindly, trash. I don't know the year of each mech that we have at disposal, but i suppose that's better a later era more than earlier. That said, even if some models are anachronistic we'll not be too much sorry

Ok. It's gonna make creating specific bits very difficult.
However, here's something basic to work off of:
A long lost Castle Brian has been discovered, it's probably chock full of old SLDF tech that anyone wants to get their hands on. (CBs being so huge they are virtually their own underground cities give you a lot of room to design your fields for the players. Some locations can be very narrow, some very open... etc.)
Each of the participating houses has sent either an official force of theirs (if the planet is close to their borders), or a group of disposable mercs to act on their behalf.
The systems inside the CB are down at the moment, so whoever captures, and starts powering up the systems within their sectors, gets bonuses, such as automated turrets, better repair checks, better resupply checks ... etc. (This could even allow you to drop NPC drone mechs, or renegade/pirate mechs to balance some things out, or make them more interesting).
Just knowing the year this is happening can add SO much political play (which houses really hate the other houses, which ones are likely to work together, and so on and so forth)
