Release a series of mechs no one can access without paying cash for several months.

These mechs regardless of strength leaves a sour taste in most people who have common sense or merely remember when they limited this exclusivity to something more reasonable such as a week or two.

You can make all the excuses you want but at the end of the day. They used to do it in a much more player friendly manner, now they don't. People have every right to call them out on it as they continue to pump out mech packs while numerous issues the community see as problems are said to be done Soon™

Website is awful and out of date? Mech Packs.
CW is meh and unfun to a majority of players? Mech Packs.
People want a tutorial? Mech Packs.
New mechlab? Well we tried, have some mech packs.

I think people would tolerate these things more if the more important things got done along with them but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Problem with the 'we can't fix it so we'll pump out Mech packs to distract them!' argument is that the team doing the Mechs is NOT the team doing all the fixes you mention.

HSR is getting an update, multiple bug fixes among other things, to correct what is probably the biggest problem with the game.

The Mech Lab has been redone and many of us actually like it, more changes, based on player whinage, are coming this month.

CW is a beta product, still subject to lots of work to get it where PGI wants it, some of the planned updates to it do sound interesting and may well get more people interested in it. It's something I'm interested in seeing, as it presages, I hope, real changes to CW to make it what we were promised in 2011.

People keep assuming that the SAME people fixing stuff are also making Mechs. I put this down to sheer ignorance, people simply do not know how programming and coding and model creation work, so they assume it's all a few people and they are being pulled from the important tasks to kick out more Mechs for money. That's not at all how it works, not even remotely like that, and those of us who know laugh at that argument because we know how silly it is. I did 3d work, it's not even remotely related to networking, something else I've done, so you don't get your 3d artist working on your network issues unless you want REALLY fubar code being created.

More Mechs are a given no matter what else happens, there are over 2000 Mechs in the TT game for PGI to create for MWO, so they'll be doing that for a long time. And they've got a dedicated team just FOR that. They also have other teams doing other things, like working on the network issues, working on the CW designs, and so on.

Making a video game isn't like making a burger at McDonald's, everyone in the office can't do what everyone else does.

We got countless reports for this thread.
It's temporarily closed until we worked on these reports. Thanks for understanding.

Unfortunately, the countless violations in this thread have given it a one way ticket.
Sorry if you had valid points here folks!
