[Hit the Deck]

That DWF build is great when used to guard the gates in CW. I watched a player using that build hiding in a corner behind a gate and he just melted anyone trying to pass through.

At higher levels of play, pretty clan, NOBODY ran DPS builds. Only alpha builds, primarily Ballistic + PPC (Gauss or AC5)

DPS Jagermechs (Pre ghost heat AC2 builds) where entertaining but not particularly competitive because the ToT requirement meant you'd be ST cored instantly by everyone else.

Successful builds where all PPFLD builds, and that only stopped when PPC's where severely nerfed.

Oddly enough, I ignore Alpha. Its a stat that's abused and I'd rather focus on being able to strip the armor rather than trying to alpha someone. Better heat management and I won't left as defenseless.

After reading the thread, one thing became clear: we can't have a single discussion about gameplay that doesn't turn into Clan vs IS at some point.

It's a bit sad really.
