Reality: Lights will still be running around like ferries that only partially exist in the same dimension that I do and I'll somehow get worse due to other people being able to properly shoot me in my squishy Catapult CT.

I imagine the light queue is going to shrink even further if hitreg improves. Which sucks for the game overall, but it's good for me personally. There won't be as much QQ about hitreg from all the people who gave up playing light mechs, because they'll know it's harder than it looks.
Hopefully.
EDIT: Then again, I suppose you'll always have the people who just say "I don't get bad results in light mechs because it's too difficult, I get bad results because it's just not my style."

For some reason my current plan is to get my available Cbill count to 900 Mil... Hoping to play the game in the improved hit reg era hopefully with Laser mechs.
Else it will be plan B.. Regional Servers.

You can spot the really bad players because they use JJ feathering as a damage-negating exploit crutch.

My main reason to look forward to it is the wolverine Hero, been wanting that for a long long time, its arrived way to late in my opinion, but its finally here, and I shall enjoy using it even if its 'D.O.A and brings nothing to the game'

As for TTK: I think it will go further down. Something which I do not relish. The alphas with the idiotic laser spam (sorry for the bad word) is simply getting out of hand.
Another reason for a drop in TTK will be when projectiles register more reliably. During one event I used an Oxide and I can tell you that there were fights were an insane amount of missiles simply didn't register.
As for light mechs:
Some people do forget that not every light mech is a Firestarter or Spider. Heck, today I peeked around a corner with my Black Jack (a medium!) and got one-shot by a EBJ. Everything hit the ST and boom. Yaaay for sitting in an ECM bubble on a low-visibility map.
No surprise that the heavy queue is nearly bursting. You have enough firepower to 1-2 shot several mech designs while being mobile enough to get out of a bad situation (unlike assaults).
I think people will play even less light and medium mechs. And if they do, they will use long-range weapons. Then we will get even more whack-a-mole style of fighting which goes like "big alpha - big alpha - hunker down in cover to cool down - rinse repeat". How boring...
For me this game becomes less and less strategic because the TTK drops further and further. Until a brawler gets close he is so shot up it doesn't take much to finish him off. Well, I guess to each his own.

yea but thats 90% of players, yes its a crutch exploited by many especially timbers. Part of what makes them god mode. I will just be happy to have hits register. I full alphad a firestarter yesterday 4 times.. 50 point alpha and somehow it took almost no damage. Took 4 mechs to focus it down all because it was jj.

How do you even do that, since it takes 2seconds and half the bar to even lift a Nova off the ground....
as for how? you just keep tapping spacebar it doesnt actually have to lift from the ground. The animations playing when it lifts/drops is what does it.

If the player knew how to do that.
I am not sure if he counts as a 'bad player'....
If they have to rely on bugs and exploits to win (or even survive), then they're bad. Hopefully after Tuesday everyone else will be able to see just how bad they are.

Expectation: I no longer kill a mech a full second after actually killing them.
If the patch meets my expectations, I will buy they Orion IIc pack. Otherwise, no.
