Honestly after such a long time collecting mechs I just wish for 2 things in this gotta catch 'em all mech game of ours.

1. To have our old closed beta "quick select" for our 4 fav mechs back

2. The ability to create my own lists/groupings of mechs for things like
  • A list of energy boats
  • My dakka mechs
  • My lrmboats
  • Everything with ecm
  • A grouping of all my cbill bonus mechs for those farming days (currently split across the heros and champion tabs)
  • Or just things like my current fav mechs or a list of things I need to grind for xp.

this would be pretty fantastic, actually, I'm all in for that.

Oh, and while we are wishing for things:

Savable dropdecks for CW! Let me save different mech selections, so rather than going through and picking 4 mechs in 50 seconds, i can simply dropdown and select 'Vitric Forge Defense deck' or whatever.

That's one of the features I love about EVE. If you have the parts on hand and a profile already saved, you can instantly outfit a new ship. They even went so far as to allow you to use external programs that people used to make builds importable.

Why MWO doesn't have something like this is beyond me, especially given a large part of your gameplay revolves around the mechlab. In fact, it's the only MW game I've ever played that doesn't have some kind of feature like that.

Even War Thunder caught on to that. The backlash from going to Steam probably had a lot to do with that. ;) I hope PGI realizes what they're opening themselves up to.

Apathy take over? Or did most people just get used to it and move on already?

PGI has a long history of ignoring any kind of input from forums.

Do sentences like "living on an island" or "vocal minority" ring any bells to you?

What's the point of writing lengthy posts about obvious flaws of this game when:
1. they get completely ignored by devs (~60% of the time) or dealt with in half-assed manner (~30%)
2. you get attacked by forum whiteknights (100% of the time)

Saying "it could be worse" doesn't mean current mechlab is ANY good. Heck, I remember Mechlab 1.0 being way better than this - even though it had its share of bugs.

Edit:
Just look how cool old mech builiding was and compare it to current **** we got now. You could see your mech hitboxes. You didn't need magnifying glass to read text. Builiding the mech was fun, not a chore. This is downgrade, not upgrade.

You seem to be talking about savable mech loadouts.

that has got a few potential pitfalls, like not owning the items needed to complete the config anymore (due to them being on other mechs or whatever) so i can see why we dont have this (though they could be worked around), also reduces the need/want to buy more mechs on clan side. However CW dropdeck saving has literally no pitfalls that i can think of, and would be a huge plus to people like me who like to min/max everything and therefore wants 12 different dropdecks for CW (2 per map)

i just stopped playing because it was such a burden on the actual "get into the game" part of the game. came back to see if the update was good and surprise, they ****** up a bunch of mechs i use because they'd rather **** up an existing design by cramming stuff that doesn't fit on than spend the time to get missile tubes and gun encasements to look like they're actually designed to be on the 'mech.
