Well, for one thing those lasers crit too, so it's probably 2 volleys for the firestarter, just saying. Also I have a suspicion your math is off quite a bit.
Anyway, it's really irrelevant as balance shouldn't be based off of fringe cases.
Plus, realistically, good luck managing it. You need to get behind the assault, you need to have your (cone firing) MGs hit his rear CT (he can twist/turn to make this harder), and you need to survive doing this in a mech that will die from a single AC/20 hit, without being able to poke or twist (because constant-fire MGs). If you actually managed to kill an assault like that, I'd say you earned it and he deserved it.

each mg shoots 10 bullets per second, it means each mg deals 3.9+[2.2*2]4.4+[0.6*3]1.8 = 10,1 damage per second to the internals (honestly i'm not sure how these chances should be summed up but at the very end it's ~5+ damage per second) and it has 12 of them... it will eat 62 hp of crab in either ~0.5 second or at the very end in ~1 second,
You might be confusing internal components with internal structure.
The Crab has 62 hp worth of internal structure, but crits only affect internal structure by regular damage + 15% of the crit damage. So the DPS vs internal structure is more like 1.4 per MG, making the 12 MG Piranha need roughly 3.6 seconds to chew through it all.
To sum up, the MG has three DPS values:
0.8 vs armour
1.4 vs internal structure
4.5 vs internal components
I updated my "History of the MG" chart with the DPS values:

I'd love for it to stop being a crit weapon, since that's really holding it back. More vs-armour damage, less of this crit malarkey.
