Impatient People Shouldn't Be So Quick To Sell Out Active Teammates

i'm the last guy left. half dead raven3l in pursuit which i know i can kill. how do you get a raven to pass you in a chase on collective? drop behind a building and power down. power up, get behind him and kill him. but as soon as you power down a dead 'teammate' gives away your position immediately and calls you a noob. "noob powered down C3" . end result doesn't have to be mentioned.
my plea is don't be so quick to give away a team mate's location....think before you type.
we all ante up 15 minutes of our time for a drop, and one should at least give a fellow mech pilot a chance to play out his given time.....with in reason.
with in reason being the key words.
afk'ers.....sell them out...i don't care.
people powering down with no weapons and 8 minutes left on the clock...i don't care.
if i tactically power down to have a half dead mech pass me so i can pop his back.......you're wasting MY time if you sell me out...
give someone the benefit of a doubt before you sell them out...that's all.....not too much to ask.

If you don't, you're gimping yourself and your team... If you're 2erll no ecm 3L, and running off to power down at the end of the match... yes, I'm going to report your position. No I don't care if you get pissed at me, and frankly, I don't care if you report me for reporting your position.
You're 2erll vs 9 other surviving mechs isn't going to do much outside of pad your KDR a bit more. And KDR means diddly over win/loss, and we've already lost. Plus, you're likely holding up the mech I'm grinding.
So if you're the last one left, and your vs half+ the enemy force... either go down fighting, or suicide, frankly I don't care which, but the game is over at that point.
Now, if you're fighting it out, using cover, taking pot shots, and surviving... I won't report your position, but there's no point in running off to power down at that point.

Dozens of times in my last 32 months of MWO where a tactical power down means the difference between a loss or a victory. I hate to rant, but i've just had enough of people selling out active pilots....

Treasonous provision of information to enemy combatants, also known as "bird-doging" is forbidden. This involves a player using the in-game chat to provide the enemy team with the locations of their own team mates. While we appreciate that some players may wish to have a round end early by calling out the location of an AFK team-mate, the risk that this could be used against an active participant of the match to deny them the use of cover and movement makes this a form of a griefing. You may declare a teammate AFK but not their coordinates or position.

adversely, i'm just saying give someone a chance to make his c-bills as well, even if you're dead someone else can still make his grind happen....

TL;DR version:
Reporting a players position to the opposing team - Reportable offense
If you believe a player is not participating, you may report them to moderation@mwomercs.com.
Full version:
Quote
If a player has joined a match, they must have launched the game with intent to play. Players who are not moving, or are otherwise not participating in the spirit of the game, fall under this category. While we all understand the call of nature: Repeated abuse of this behaviour, similarly to 'Mech Suicide and Team Killing, results in an unfair advantage for the enemy teams, and is thus not considered acceptable use. Please keep in mind that idling on your cap point without armour or moving does not constitute a form of tactical "Base Defense".
