More buffs to op clan mechs and the the few pos clan mechs will never get used.

These clan AC changes without any quirks to the dire....

I have seen people pull 3500 (or maybe not) damage in pug queue with dakka whales.... they are very good mechs, they have always been very good mechs - now??

Many of the other changes are excellent, but that specific thing I am worried about.

What a great set of patch notes/fixes. Love pretty much everything you've done, including rolling back a bit on TBR nerfs. (PS I don't own a TBR.)


Except removing the spinning Jag corpse. Sad face.


Thanks for an impactful patch, full of tweaks and fixes that matter.

it's a major change, though it looks minor. As things stand once legged, you're pretty much done as continued fire holds you at 15kph. 40 doesn't sound fast, but it's still nearly 3x the speed. It matters.

well, on the dakkawhale it does. The other clan mechs we currently have struggle to mount any significant quantity of ballistics.

Keep in mind, Clan ballistics where terrible. With the volley Duration reduction from not long ago and now this, they should be usable, but not "insane".

Keep in mind, every weapon looks bad ass when boated to Direwolf levels.

but why?

c-uac 2 and c-uac 5 have the same dps but c-uac 5 run significantly cooler and dire whale can pack 5 or even 6 of them with no problems

I was going to do my normal "respond to everything" shtick, then realized how long it would be ...

Most of this is pretty damn amazing ... River City (new), Breakable Objects, Jump Jets Class I boost/thrust increased, Spider Leg hit meshes have been fixed, 'Mechs now display sparks and generate audio effects when colliding with geometry, Turrets have been removed from Assault Game Mode, Clan Autocannons and Clan Ultra Autocannons have had their number of projectiles per volley reduced, AWS-CDA-COM-DRG Weapon visualization passes, Host State Rewind Fixes and Improvements, optimizations ... Reduced uptream 40-45% ... downstream 20-25%, Fixed an issue where 'Mechs could sometimes be seen through walls under Thermal Vision, PPC-ERPPC-CERPPC velocity increased ... Thank you, thank you, thank you.

This is weird ...
- Dynamic Time of Day ... each quadrant condenses its 6-hour duration into the match duration ... (Testing Grounds ... run through all of the above cycles once) ... I'll hold off on passing judgment until I see it, but six hours crammed into 15 minutes seems like too much

These are interesting ...
- Thunderbolt "Top Dog" TDR-5S-T Quirks: Armor Strength (Full Body), Structure Strength (Full Body): +12.5% ... this will be more "Awesome" than an AWS ... can tank as much damage as a pre-quirked 80-tonner, goes faster, better hit boxes ... very interesting to see how this will play out.
- Autocannon/10 - Ammunition per ton increased from 15 to 20 ... I have never quite figured out why the AC/10 gets a bad rap, other than it's not an AC/20 or a U-AC/5
- Quirk Changes ... Timber Wolf, Stormcrow ... especially with the new buffs to Clan AC's, this will be very interesting.

Yet another great patch! I had to reread the patch notes because I thought it might have been a July fools joke! As long as the PPC changes don't bring back pop-tart meta, I'm extremely happy.

3500 damage in public matches? Are you sure? 2K it's plausible (I use to do 1.5K), but for pulling up 3.5K... Jeez... that would need alone a lot of ammo.

I have been looking through my screenshot directory for the game in question, I think I might be mis-remembering but I have found a 2k+ game, among many of my own 1k + games in dakka whales - so even so... i'm worried about giving clan ac's a buff without addressing the dakka whale.

Great job! So much good stuff.

I can't wait to load up my Cicada X-5 to see how many missile tubes it has (keeping my fingers crossed it's 6+)!
