Didn't every single Awesome pilot BEG that they keep the huge honking PPCs on it and PGI did exactly the opposite (pretty sure that they made them EVEN smaller than the Bishop's mockup of the PPC nipples)?
If i was an Awesome pilot, i'd be FURIOUS (even more than i am now)

Looks fine to me. Maybe it is because the barrels are more flush and don't stick way out. Either case, I think they look fine.

Well, if Awesome pilots hate it, start a long running thread like the Catapult A1 thread and good luck to you.

I actually like it. Been waiting for dynamic geo for my AWS/Thug build. Overall I'd say 8/10.

Now, if we could just have static locations for mounting the weapons we'll be all set.

Well, except the 2C, which will never really be happy (and while it takes a performance boost with the high PPC mount, it also takes a hit with the stupid looking bat - those MGs should've been side by side, the PPC where it always was to look like the variant is suppose to!)

The X5 is going to be weird, it supposedly will have enough tubes for bigger missiles. I'm not a missile sort. No opinion yet.

The 3M got boned - It's going to have asymettrical beam points. The default on the left torso goes high - above where the ballistic goes, but the right goes low.

The 2a and 2b shouldn't be so bad off at least. hough the 2A might take a bit of a hit with the lower beams not firing over cover as easily.

I wish we could choose which HP a weapon got installed to instead of them defaulting to certain places.

I will respectfully disagree with you mate. I miss the old Jager gun barrels where some of your paint job showed up on your gun barrels near the end. I think some of the geometry looks out of place because of shiny weapons on a duller paint job. More at home on Clan mechs I think. But I am glad that they are finally here regardless.

Edit: If a missile hard point is being use in the left arm of an Awesome, couldn't we just lose the claw?

For a second I thought the Pretty Baby got a second Energy hardpoint in the Left Torso like an actual Battle Tech Awesome would have gotten. Then I saw the variant had changed to a different actual Battle Tech Awesome. Awesomes either have multiple Energy or multiple Missile loadouts in their side torsos. Never just one in each. Certainly not the Pretty Baby who's loadout is not known, but would certainly be the same in ability as the other Awesomes if not more. Wish you folks at PGI would address this ongoing inaccuracy.
