Sneak Peek: Weapon Geometry Updates - Aws/drg/com/cda/cn9 & New Heroes

missile racks were made to bulge unwieldly from the mechs to they'd be easier targets, but were "carefully" done to avoid requiring new models for the racks to be made. meaning they now stick out everywhere.
check.
energy hardpoints are present at all times, even in models of mech that don't have them, leaving pointless grey areas to **** up the paintjobs we've paid for. and PPCs remain disproportionally tiny in comparison to their damage.
check.
this update needs to be taken back and worked on more. more to the point, i want whoever worked on this geometry to come on the forum, explain themselves, and apologize for doing such a lackluster job.

I said earlier i was waiting for the resizing to hold out judgement on the geopass on the Awesome, but oh my god. I logged in to check for myself to see how it looked.
Ugh.
I don't even care how the ppcs look... the missles are scattered even worse than i thought and my CANNONS have been replaced by tiny, cute little buttons all over my Awesome.
Someone help it! Put it out of its misery atleast!

This is like the time they increased the quality of some mech camo. While the paint became clearer and nicer people complained because different, even better, is never good.

Applause to PGI on f*cking up a mech, i thought was impossible to f*ck up.

I think the only negative is the off-centered CT energy.... although I was half expecting the lasers were to be ontop of each other instead of side by side.

I'm actually on the side that believes it was an actual buff, since the ERPPC was below cockpit level. Now it can actually properly peek (including its usual laser shenanigans).

Maybe if laser lenses were a little less exosed beyond standard mech structure... less embossed. But I still like it as it is

Oh come on, just look at the 3M.
It has 1E hardpoint in each torso.
JUST LOOK AT IT.
They're not even parallel to each other!

Well, after pointing that out...
I don't understand the need to make the lower weapon the first weapon added, when even the stock build suggests they should be at the same height.
PGI logic.

At least the 3C ER-PPC is good though

I'd say we'd have to look @ what happens if you put in an ERPPC in the 3M... and see where it goes.
I'd almost think the 3C got a specific buff if that hardpoint is designed as such for just that variant.

What is it with you guys and making PPCs tiny?
People complained PPC's on lights were scaled smaller than PPC's on other mechs.
Now they're the same size.
Isn't that what people were after all along?

If PPC's on lights were bigger, they would look like 15 year olds running around with gigantic boners poking out of their shoulders. Then PGI might have been sued for promoting veiled anti feminist sjw'ism.
Scaling PPC's down is the lesser of two evils?

If you want to use a big PPC thing, use a Panther which was designed with a strong arm to equip a big thing.
But unfortunatelly it is too late now to modify the customisation rules.
edit: trying to transform my message in understandable english.
