these builds:

5/6 UAC5
4 UAC10
6 AC2
6 LBX2

and more, need to be nerfed. Add +30% jamchance for DW equiping with combos above.

Heat restrictions seem to work at limiting the amount of fire you can accomplish.

I'm not worried.

I want balanced game. I understand some of you want OP, superior mechs to stomp PUGs, but thats not great attitude.

Nope. I don't care how powerful that thing becomes, it's still a bus of a 'mech and completely justified based on its place in the game and skill required to actually do that well with it (against players worth their salt, anyway).

They have a king crab.

They have their dire wolf match, and then some.

If you nerf the dire, you need to nerf the kgc too, and make it hot after 4 shots, even if it's one by one

I'd say Dire Wolf is pretty balanced, 1vs1 it's tough to deal with but 2vs1 (requires teamwork) it's easy peasy because it can't disengage fast enough.

I admit I REALLY hate being caught in front of a dakka DW. Kinda rattles your brain. But it does not happen too often. And they are big whales of targets. I think they are OP compared to King Crabs and Atlas, but that is just me. I see no need for nerfs I guess.

Some people just need UAC boats, some just need LRM boats. All fall in the same category in my mind.

The dire wolf is significantly more competitive at high level team and comp play than the king crab is, it's not even close.

The king crab is probably as good as the dire for solo queue, because it can be fast enough to not risk being left behind.

I wouldn't want the Dire wolf nerfed too much though, it's supposed to be a very scary mech with the strongest firepower in the game, and balanced by being extremely slow and sluggish.

When we face well played dire wolves in CW we have to make a plan specifically for taking them out before we fight other mechs, and that element is a unique and fun thing about the dire wolf in team play. I don't want that removed, so whatever balancing might be needed must be very very carefully implemented.

im with you OP, Dire wolf is most fearsome mech in game allready and now just became even more strong, it now needs negative quirks to bring it in line with other assault mechs.

Fun fact: these are not the strongest Dire Wolf builds.

AC2 boating builds suck [Redacted]. You either will run out of ammo before finishing off two enemies, or you overheat.

Direwhale is balanced by its easy to hit CT and aged turtle grade mobility.


How about we HEAVILY BUFF Atlas instead?

how about no. direwolf is right where it needs to be for balance.

I would rather see other 100 ton assaults like the atlas get buffed.
