Nothing pre-emptive about it. The WVR and TDR got more than their fair share on day one of the quirkening.

You want to have three of each owned chassis anyway, so for the WVR the answer is easy: get all three (the 6K is considered the best).
For the TDR I plan on buying all four in a few minutes (thank you, PGI!), but from what I have read the 9SE is currently (quirks change) considered the best and the 5S is considered the worst.

Hmmm in all the other Hero events the Heroes went on sale, not the Cbill variants or the champions. This event everything but the Heroes for these two chassis are on sale (and for 35% off instead of 50%). I know these two Heroes were just released (even though they have been hinted at for months), but wouldn't it make more sense to have the mechs needed for the challenge on sale like in all the other events (if you want to encourage participation)? Sure I know many of you will say its too soon to have just released Heroes on sale...maybe it is also too soon to be having this event just days after Top Dog and Quarantine were released. Thanks for the sale anyhow PGI

*shrug* Sale would be nice, but they are brand new. I don't blame them for keeping the heroes full price.

I'll purchase a 5SS and may consider buying some Wolverines if I grind a ton of C-bills this week... not my favorite chassis but they are effective.
