I've been a UAC player for a long long time, my only mech with a gauss has been the gargoyle for long while. However, i transferred from UAC to gauss on every possible clan chassis, with spectacular results recently.
On top of previously high shell count, UACs just DERPed on you on the first double tap, because the random gods were angry at the moment.

I've been experimenting with UAC last night. they are certainly better (or i think they are, because of previous experience with them), no doubt. but they still DEERRRPP... HAARRRD.!... right on the first double tap.
Gauss is reliable, you can conserve ammo, You can punch in the smallest shooting window for full damage (either moving or stationary target). You can be a light's worst nightmare... and most importantly... it does not derp!

Now with ammo buffs and less shell count on UACs... is it enough to out-weight the derp?

anyone else been trying them from yesterday's patch onwards?

I thought Clan UACs were awesome after the last buff... after this most recent one? Now they are god tier

Almost as pinpoint accurate as IS ACs (especially the CUAC5) with insane DPS for low weight

Plus you still get the massive suppression bonus from multiple projectiles! So they are AMAZING for brawling!

I do find that if you are going with a single ballistic, a gauss might be best. But if you can fit 2+ ballistics, a couple UACs will wreck anything

Dont be afraid to mix either. Ive been using 1UAC5 1UAC10 on my EXE to great effect
