Actually, it was published, its in Strategic Operations.

*EDIT* Infact, ill do one better and post the table itself from said book. (and these are only the positive ones, there is a separate list with negative ones as well. I just posted this one to prove the existence of the Extended Torso Twist quirk)

Aww, you can't have a trailer hitch on your mech. How are you supposed to get your BBQ smoker to the Hotbox Five barbeque?

I just had a vision... picture a city... inside said city 4 Urban Mechs are patrolling down the street. I come racing around the corner in my Jenner loaded up with flamers and race through the middle, burning every Urbie in my path as I race by. Screaching to a halt I turn and watch as they pop like the little tin cans they are from overheating reactors.... damn... looks like the 4th of July... its... its.... BEAUTIFUL!!! :P

Don't forget that you skid, slide, and crash into a building and die. The End.

Urbanmechs, as a single mech, can be useful in certain circumstances, like being used a cannon fodder. However a pair of them can be deadly if the pilots know what they are doing.

I have used a of pair, and sometimes a triple, of Urbanmechs to a few games before. You can ramp up the speed on one of them and give the other a heavier weapon and play cat and mouse games with the other mechs.

Also another thing to note that people are neglecting that upon open beta launch unless hoards of people buy the founders mech pack that alot of people will be religated to light mechs because of initial starting funds.

This means that there will be many battles in the opening days of the game that will be predominantly all light mechs. So in this situation you want a good smarthering of cheap light mechs with varieing stats.

Since the UrbanMech is the slow heavy armored light Mech it will have a place in the early days of the game to shore up firepower until more people either buy the founder pack or save up enough ingame currency to buy a heavier mech.

Plus it's a common Mech durring the time that the producers are starting the game at so to be true to universe it should be one of the mech's available at launch.

Upon open beta start I can easily see only 1 or 2 medium to Assault mechs from founders packs in game the rest will probably be lights. The UrbanMech is one of the few big gun lights it should be in game to give the people that want to grind a chance against the people that bought the early mech pack.

That Autocannon from the Urbie will probably be needed in early launch play to shore up firepower. Plus from what people are saying it's relatively easy to customize it for PPC or large laser use so you can bring heavy energy weapons onto the battlefield for relatively cheap.

We ALL will want a cheap heavy hitter for early launch play and the UrbanMech fits the bill right there.

Another consideration as well, is if there is any kind of Tonnage or Battle Value restriction on matchmaking. If there is, the Urbie becomes a bring a Powerful Autocannon for a very low price.

The Urbie could already Flip its arms and fire behind it, with extended Troso twist, it can now fire in any direction (2 hexes left or right, or flip arms for directly behind it)

The UrbanMech is simply the Annihilator's larval stage.

I think "Wraithchan" does all the MadKitten images and others like it.

That's a MSM-04 Acguy from Mobile Suit Gundam, a mech of similar rotundness.

30 tons of trash can... wait.

16 tons of trashcan with a 14 ton arm hanging far off it's center of gravity.

Yup, must be that vaunted Unobtainium at work again.

Weebles wobble but they don't fall down. Urbie is the god of Weebles.

The Restriction will purely be an economic one they will only start you off with so many C-bills afterall. And What tends to be cheaper a 25 to 30 ton light mech or an 80 to 100 ton assault class?

It's simple logic that early game will be flooded predominantly by light mechs as those mech's are cheaper and people will need to build capital to buy a heavier platform.

I for one will buy one and mod it for PPC use to add some variety to the urbie forces.

Also some guy started and UrbanMech Hate thread wich should be alerted to the Mods because it's a pure spite thread. The person should be banned because such actions are immature, rude and server no purpose in a place of inteligent conversation heres a link.:
