People,

The way I fill it right now is to the community get the devs attention, a post must be created in the forum and it must have enough post to, with some look, be visited by the devs.

I think, on this way, a lot of good ideas can be lost in the middle of the sea of hate and crap!

I believe a permanent post should be created by the devs to colect ideas from, maybe, preselected community members...

People could reach those guys and they could filtrate most of the crap and hate.

Well you could always use the forum designed for that purpose instead of general:

http://mwomercs.com/...loper-outreach/

I hear they post more on 3rd party sites and on social media though.

I nominate myself to fulfill the role of being a preselected community member. I like you was once filled with crap and hate, but then I felt to love and craplessness of RNGesus. I am full of good ideas and can speak for the little guy within the community, because I, like them, am also a little guy. Let me put my love of 'mech, Joseph Mallan's Homestyle Apple Pie, and RNGesus to work for you!

Sure they have, but still is full of crap mixed with good stuff... what I mean is kind of semi-pro participation...
There is a lot of good intentioned people that just can't make enough noise!

Nobody is going to agree to anyone else being the right person to provide "special feedback" to the devs. Everyone will be crying foul at every question asked. Simply because it's not their own question being asked.

I think they should regularly run all PGI drops so we can beat them up and they can get first hand experience against the cookie cutter builds.

It'd be great if they'd read and responded to the forums more but... there's so much drivel and completely ******** ideas that I can see why they don't. Plus they have all the data from all the matches and we don't. So, we mostly see them on here putting out fires (like reminding people that PGI is doing a complete rebalance in the most vitriolic balance threads).

It's why I was talking about preselected members of the community... I just know some people that could bring up very high level discussion and realy add good ideas to the devs pool!

Who preselects them though, thats the question. and no matter who gets selected someone is going to be butthurt about someone (or everyone) that get selected and claim that person(s) are just a mouthpiece/white knight etc.

So, a Star Chamber, selected by those that feel THEY are so ELITE that the remainder of the MWO community will let them decide game changes for everyone ? By what RIGHT do any of you so called elitist players decide the game features and mechanics for the community?
IF the devs want input then it needs to come from the community as a whole and they can incorporate those changes that are most appropriate. You guys need a reality check and get a grip.

Doesn't matter realy, if good criteria is used and high level discussions are been hold! Most of the people will follow and discusse in parallel and it is easier to community members to follow this "low rank" discussions...

Well, the future of the MWO can be decided by PGI with no participation at all, right?!
I believe PGI could invite members of the comunity they feel confortable in dealing with, it should be ok to me... I'm not communist... hahah... and also, it is business not democracy...

And, I'm not including me on it... I am quite a nobody actually! :-)

And the star chamber elite representing their own interests look like quite lore stuff to me! Hahahaha

Agreed with Dettmam.

When you mean money, listening your customers will drive you to what they feel and need.

The rest is absorb, consider, reflect and release.

If you were more involved with this community you'd know that this idea isn't new, it was somewhat attempted once and it failed miserably because everyone thinks they know best and nobody can agree on anything.

That being said, there are people here who are capable of contributing and doing the math and research needed to make this a better game, some who I believe care more about this game than the actual devs.
Fact of the matter is that while I myself value the opinions of those people, there are some who don't, much the same way I support X candidate, so and so will support Y candidate and so on.

This idea again

I'd invite anyone who thinks of a 'player council' or 'special representatives' to research the history of such things. Eventually it will become obvious why they've been tried many times before with all sorts of different games and each time, without exception, have failed miserably.

It's a good idea that unfortunately is incapable of working in the real world due to the involvement of human nature and ultimately politics. In every single instance 'player councils' have very quickly devolved in to nepotism, special-snowflake syndrome and are a shining example of the Dunning-Kruger effect in action.

I should note that in no way am I accusing the OP of believing him or herself to be a special snowflake but any such player council or special representatives scheme is ultimately incapable of truly representing what in reality is a fractured and disparate player base with absolutely no sense of consensus about anything except 3rd person view and coolant flush, though those ships sailed many moons ago.

It doesnt mean if something doesnt work it is not good... maybe it was done in the wrong way... the point is, what is the other way to the community be participative efficiently? I could support other ideas, of course...
In my opinion, this kind of thing face people envy. The reason for this stuff doesnt work is to listen to professional haters...
A little bit of freedom with a little bit of depotism can regulate it!

All you have to do is hit Russ or Paul up on twitter....they answer me like 75% of the time and i am nobody. We dont need to be some elite elected official to speak for the community they are people just like us.

So just talk to em like normal people and they answer like normal people.....it easy really. Being courteous never hurts either.
