I have several mechs that are "invalid" for various reasons (they suck, and I stripped them, or I just stripped them). Today, I wanted to try out a build on my Heavy Metal, but since it's invalid, I can't "save" the mech in the mech select screen. I checked my 2 Victor mechs, which are also invalid, and I can't select them either. Effectively, I'm prevented from making them valid because I can't select them. I have screen shots, but no way to upload them into this post (stupid clunky forum software). You'll notice the "save" button is greyed out.

You have the HOME-tab selected. If you switch to the MECHLAB-tab you can select invalid 'mechs.

An update: I managed to be able to select the Heavy Metal, by first using one of the other Highlander chassis. I can't do that for the Victor, however, since the only 2 I own are both invalid.

Ahhh, yes, this is how I was able to select the Heavy Metal, I was already on the mechlab tab. I think that's still a bug, because you should be able to select a mech from where ever you are in the UI. Thanks for the heads up.

Maybe it is a bug, maybe it is intentional, no idea. It should be changed for sure because it's dumb as capital-F.
