I am completely finished with CW.
The disparity between IS and Clan is absolute B^//$#/+.

Story goes... i dropped in 12 V12 pugs.
Only 2 members had [unit tags].
With multiple pushes on seperate gates. It spoke volumes about coordination.

By 42 to 16... i was out of mechs.
Seeing a camp incoming...
I decided this crappy game mode even Vs pugs... proves the whole CW, groups or pugs is so out balanced and broken.

Unless of course I want to be a Power gaming meta cheese low ping D@^€#bag. I basically have sweet FA chance of being in a all beating team.
No i don't have time to join a unit.

I'm sorry guys. I tried to persevere. But the incessant stomp is nothing i care to feed said above bags... who invest so much into the game and builds.

Nothing is seriously left for SOMEONE who say... wants a bit of fun as opposed to getting my ass giftwrapped every game after a 10minute wait... when so many things could happen.

I am voting with my feet here and completely finished with CW and can clearly see the reason that CW is so under populated.

If your intention was to beat me from the comfort of your arm chair... so badly that I want to never return

Congrats. Mission accomplished. Good riddance to seeing your crappy CW attitudes.

@russ_bullock
Fix this before your trickle of players leaving CW becomes a river.
Hence your power gamers have no noobs to conquer.

This, your 11th post, sure was a doozy.

I get the impression that you're not happy with CW matches.

But I'm not entirely sure why.

Something about Clans, cheese builds, wanting to be in an all-beating team, not enough, or maybe too many, Clan tags...?

Fair enough. But I'm honestly trying to work out what he wants.

Fix what, exactly?

This is some great stuff!

First it is Clan vs IS as the bad guy.
Next it is pug vs pug as the bad guy.
Of course the never ending stomps are the bad guy too, classic.
Next bad guy are Power Gamers.

All the while dropping solo into Group/Unit section of the game. And then we end with the suburb, "do what I say or I am taking my toys and going home".

With that post, we have now seen everything to blame, except the image in the mirror, for bad experiences in game.

Forum Warrior? Does not even read like he is even a MechWarrior.

I'm pugging all the time in CW, being with all kinds of players. From Cookiecutter wielding units to completely clueless trail'mech users.
I always bring the best mechs i can (those who do perform well and i am most comfortable with), i even go as far as switching my mechs for different maps and gamemode.

Sometimes i hardly get a kill with 1k damage and 3 destroyed own mechs and we still won.
Sometimes i end up losing all 4 mechs with 15 kills and 2,5-3k damage and we still lost the game.

A word of advise, don't expect anything if you play with pick up groups.
Don't expect to beat anyone with underperforming builds and mechs.
Nobody is going to carrying you through the game by default.
If you want to win, do whatever you can possible do for it yourself. The other team won't let you win if you're going half assed to begin with.
You don't go to a race and complain your fiat500 has no chance of winning, do you?

i think many units wouldn't mind if you don't drop with them regularly, but yeah, the recent events were frustrating

play pugs, it's much more fun than cw anyway

I actually like the gameplay in CW matches, as long as the teams are moderately coordinated. Being on a team that has 12 plans is pretty terrible though.

For me, the reason I'm in the solo queue most of the time, is the extremely low average c-bills per hour in CW. 10 mins to find a game + 25 mins of game for 2-3 solo queue matches worth of cbills.

For me the main reason to play mostly PUGgames is the UNSPORTSMANLIKE behavior of a lot of the top units which still play CW !

As long as INSULTS, SEXUAL HARRASMENT, giving coordinates of teammates which want to play until the end to the enemy, or TEAMKILLING ( especially AFTER killing all 48 enemies and the generators before destroying omega ... or at the start of a game when no enemy in around inside several kilometers ! ) it doestn make mucg fun to play CW ... I only do it because of the loyality points

@ OP - how many CW games did you played?

when i started playing MWO i played less than 5 pub games then went straight to CW. I lost badly in my 1st 10-15 drops. I joined a unit then I was winning 50-50 of the CW drops I played in.

It's my 2nd month playing MWO (regularly playing CW) and I've grinded enough to complete my CW drop deck; all mechs fully mastered and complete with all necessary modules; all with builds optimized for CW (and not the usual meta builds you see mechspecs or metamechs) and I was winning like 7 out of 10 matches in an average.

Joining an CW-active unit (doesn't have to be the "power gaming meta cheese" units)or just by tagging along with good, active players will really help you alot in CW. But still it's up to you whether you have the patience to level up your gameplay. I still consider myself a noob, but a constantly improving noob.

I've been pugging more in CW than the usual modes ... mostly because playing the same old 12v12 skirmish is getting dull.

I take an all-Hero deck - some combination of Misery, Phoenix Thud, Grey Death, Grid Iron, Ember or Anansi - in order to achieve an acceptable level of CBills. While it's not an optimal CW deck, it's not shabby, either... I set myself the goal of being in the top three damage/kills on my team, and rarely fail to achieve that.

The CW matches can go either way ... but usually the team with the largest premade wins. I've experienced a few epic battles when it's been 12 lone wolves vs another 12 lone wolves.

It's only the 12-man groups stomping 12 PUG lone wolves that make me pull my hair out. It's not just that they are so one-sided, it's having to listen to (some of) the 12-mans being wankers when they win. That grates.

Your team was just awfully bad. Happens on both sides so stop complaining and ... oh god but... learn 2 play sounds so harsh...

Classic: Clans killed me they dont have to have skill because im the best so nerf all the clans and buff IS. GTFO man...

Well, CW has a healthy and growing population, is well balanced with all sides being equally involved and has motivated new players flocking in all the time.

So, clearly, we can afford to dismiss anybody who is frustrated and quits. Right?

If you lost 46:16, you probably pugged for a IS faction? Stop doing that, and start to win. IS pugs are terrible. The terribadness of IS pugs really throws Clan vs. IS balance out of the window for CW.

They use subpar mechs with subpar builds and are inable to spread damage or aim by any means. I played CW for both sides and IS pugs being so bad is the sole reason i probably will never take a IS contract again. When playing IS, i had matches with me alone dealing more damage than 7 other IS pugs together. I won't deal with that anymore, which is somewhat sad because i really enjoyed playing CW with IS mechs.

Wait, you mean to tell us that if you play solo and drop in the solo part of the game it is more fun then dropping solo in the group part of the game?

Let me get this right, is you have a certain playstyle and play in the part of the game designed for that playstyle, your going to have fun?

This does not make any sense.

;)

Sadly YOU can turn off AllChat only for yourself ... but that doesnt prevent TRAITORS from using it, you only dont see that they are giving your coordinates to the enemy

PS: Because of the "name and shame" policy it is not possible to write names or TAGs of units as a example here ... or the post, or maybe even the entire topic, will get deleted.

@ LOADED : If someone is a member of one of these [9 11] ( this TAG is used as a placeholder for these sort of units, as at least for ME these guys behave like terrorists .. and I am pretty sure that no unit is using this offensive TAG ) units, it is clear that he wont notice such behavior as such behavior is "normal" for him !
