At the highest when the tournament was under way I was 5th, I've since dropped down to 11th and when I do improve on a score it's only by about 20 points or so. I'm running the risk of burning myself out if I play any more. I have next to no c-bills when I started playing with my Quarantine I now have around 13 million. I dunno if I can do any better.

don't

at the beginning there weren't many participants and now you probably compete with some of the very best players

it's better to admit that there are people who are better than you... may be you will be better than them if you want, but it's impossible to become one by spamming a lot of games during a weekend

The best reward I got for any events I tried for was the improvement in my own game play I got from competing and the optimization I had to make with the mechs I used. None of the load outs were the same after the events were over.

Long term this is an awsome reward since much of this game is in beta and in game rewards will be way more awsome than anything in these events. Look to the Solaris Champion Cup or what ever they name it or many other in game rewards that are sure to be added.

Oh and creds are a nice reward to. Stockpile those creds. I think they are adding some cool stuff some players will need huge amount of creds for. 100 mill + kind of stuff. Long time from now though.

The guys in the top 10 of the X5 event would have had to get something crazy like 10 kills and 1500 damage for 10 matches..... Thats 10 matches in an X-5 quite possible one of the lowest firepower mechs in the game......

No. The 10 guys in the X5 didn't need to cheat to get between 2.9k 3.6k. They didn't even do that great. They did better than me at 20 but i was unwilling to change my X5 at the time and i did it with 4ml and 2 ssrm. Spectating the others who got up there wasnt something i wanted to emulate. You definetly dont need 10kills and 1500 damage per match to score 3k, that don't even make sense.

Also the guy who got first on X5 made a post, he had bought 2 X5 for the event and he had like 500 games played in the time the tournament happened.

First of all that was a guess. Second of all, I have no idea the scores they had to get exactly. Third of all I can guarntee all those scores were done in the group queue. I wont say much else on the matter. I am sure the situation is plain as day to anyone looking at the numbers.

I welcome anyone to give exact scores that were needed to get #1 in the X-5 event.

Garantee away, i personaly played with/against Greylancer and Mongoose in the solo queue and ofcourse many others on the leaderboard. They happily sprayed 2erll with 2ml while hugging the heavies/assault and i remember one of them winning our match alone versus 4 mech he had like 6 kills and well above 1k damage. I was not willing to do that with my X5, i go in the trenches, i love it, it's hella fun and i got what i "deserved" which is 20th place.

Note that the first guy is leading by more than 400points, it paid to ahve 2 X5 and disco as soon as he was dead.

Also I know 100% for certain without any shadow of any doubt what so ever farming goes on because I accidently dropped into at LEAST 2 farming matches. So lets get past that arguement.

I still dont see the scores needed to get to top 10. I had scores like that and was 15th. That score wasnt enough for anyone to get into top 10.

Simple question since you have so much knowledge on all of this. What were the scores neede for #1? I admit I took a guess. I am now curious. :)

Someone already did, you dig it up. Your math probably is wrong, in any case it looks like "observational math" lol stealing kills isnt a good thing anymore btw.

I cant wait to see what the scores were for the top spot in the X-5. This will be great.

Ya they are so legit, this makes me giggle.

For bonus laughs, the number of matches played and what queue would be epic.

The prizes in these tournaments are hardly worth the effort. 5000 MC... well, then we're talking something.

It's upseting to have a guy offer nothing but "i feel like i was woed so others must cheat" but can offer nothing else, no proof no numbers no nothing. Maybe now you understand how you look? When i said you did your best i meant in this discussion.

A couple of times during some hard fought games I've asked my team if I can go after that last guy alone to get a kill, but never was a kill just given to me on a plate, I've always had to fight it out & the enemy didn't just sit there and take it without firing back.

I think everyone has gone after opportunity kills like the AFK or Disco guy back in their spawn, but those are pretty rare.

It never crossed my mind to even try sync dropping in a group, because it defeats the purpose.

I think its pretty lame that stuff like this happens where people farm kills and pretty much cheat their way to the top..
That should never be allowed to happen.

I can't believe that they actually allowed group que drops on this...
WTF?!

Just look at some of the twitch players on ngng. They sync drop all the time for twitch tv
...so your not telling me something thats not known.

It's also not consistent.

Also, if that's what people want to put themselves through for $5-$10 worth of prizes, let them. Sometimes it boggles the mind the lengths people will go to for "free" stuff.

I work hard for a top ten spot. For me personally, it takes so much grinding that a blacksmith would cry at the thought of it. I finally got my first #1 in the Jester tournament. This took all the years this game has been here to accomplish. Here's the funny part, and this I hope makes you scratch your head... The great players don't participate in the tournaments. There's a couple, and their scores show it. If all the great players did participate, you might as well go cry on your pillows, because you wouldn't be getting in the top ten. I've seen these guys play, they're legit. Advice? Eat your wheaties, drink your coffee, and get ready for a long weekend if you're an average player like me and you want a 1 spot. Try not to look at the leaderboard too often, if you're chasing other peoples scores, you're in for an emotional roller coaster. Just play, and focus on you.

Also, some of you are close but just off on the X5 thoughts. Here's the link for the post I made to make a #2 slot.
