Boulangerie, You said :

Can you give a source for this information?

Just anecdotal from forum posts. Also tried one night to do rapid fire drops in trial mechs, disconnecting right after death and saw a net loss in income from my usual play style. I usually get a lot more assist than kills, so this would back that up.

This is news to me. I've been playing for years and didn't know.

But above it all is that being in a match is fun, spectating or waiting for a match isnt. I really wish we had less downtime in game.

It's easier when you have a few mechs to play with (as you can alternate between mechs if necessary), and match start times are *radically* reduced if you play something other than heavies*.

* assuming a new light/med/assault mech hasn't just been released -- when there are new mechs, then different classes will be more prevalent, but generally speaking the light queue is pretty damn quick.

Way back there was a large bot problem. The bot would disco as soon as they died and spawn a new mech into a new game. So XP and Cbills were changed to cut off at your time of disco. So no rewards for assists on anything after you die/disco and no win bonuses.

It doesn't really say you don't get credit for assists post-death D/C.... 'all earned rewards' if you hit an enemy mech, and that mech dies, you've earned the assist reward by my reckoning...

If the Mech isn't dead before you disconnect, then you have not yet earned an assist.

Ergo, "all earned rewards" does not include Mechs that you damaged but which are still alive at the time you disconnect.

I'm sure I'd have that last assault assist achievement by now if I'd stick around more often.

Is it just me, or is the reward system kind of all over the place? I know some matches I pull 600 damage, and 10 assists, I got 600 XP... Other matches Doing 400 damage and less assists nets me 3,000 XP o.o I'm not sure if sometimes I'm just getting a bunch of spotting etc achievements or what, but it seems very inconsistent to me...

Check these patch notes for the exact rewards you can get; many of them depend on things like staying next to something bigger, having your lance stick together, other depend on what you do after you've done something else.

It's generally not so much inconsistent as people not actually knowing what they need to do to be rewarded...

Edit: I actually took the time to create a thread here with just the Rewards 2.0 rewards: http://mwomercs.com/...-get-xp-and-cb/

from what i see in my games, sometimes it "shows" no added new XP if i quit right after the death. It adds after 2nd game on that mech, together from match 1+2. so maybe this. try it.

I see this often. If you really want access to that xp right away, just logout and back in (as long as that match is over).

For which you are deserving of much praise. I was actually going to ask in new player questions yesterday whether anyone could find the full rewards breakdown but was busy and never sat down at my PC. Now I don't have to :)

So, apparently on HPG Outreach it is widely believed that you do, in fact, recieve credit for Assists after disco'ing after you died.

They link to a post here, and specifically the very beginning of Post #1. It was edited later due to Niko retracting the statements he had made, however there are never any cited Dev posts contradicting this explicitly that I could find.

Here is the thread Niko had originally weighed in on, and later removed his posts.

This is all old info! It seems like the official forums here have one idea about how this issue works, and the subreddit has a completely different opinion.

I'd love to find out for sure. Personally I don't like the idea that people can run in, run a laser across the enemy team and die in a blaze of greed, and then disconnect to do the same thing in their other mechs (or running through all the trials). I'm not sure why they would have reverted this mechanic, as it seems it did work the way we thought at some point in Beta.
