A pain I feel with you sir.

I really do feel that the Elo value should just be eliminated altogether. It truly seems to serve very little purpose.

Problem is that player tend to play different mechs in the same weight class but not every mech is equally strong.

I would e.g. be ashamed to end with under 350 damage with my SCRs (normally I get 400+), while it is quite normal in my SHDs, even to score under 200. Just because the SHD is 200% less powerfull then the SCR.

ELO simply need to be mech related.

Was he in range?

Yeah I think he likely was. Looking on smurfy http://mwo.smurfy-ne...work&m=conquest (I've got it on conquest just so I can orient myself by the markers) he was up in B4 almost A4 when he went down.

The rest of the team had set up camp in B2 and C2. The last few of us including myself were putting up our last stand on the cover of the hill between B2 and C2. The enemy was coming at us via C3 and a few via B3.

When the effort of 12 players, including myself, affect my personal ranking... I have to agree with this.

As the guy who had the most damage on our team that got rolled in that screencap (can see my disconnect name there) in my Grid Iron, the problem was that our team was incredibly split apart.

Also, I was spectating you after I died, you were pretty far away from the front using your LRMs. Granted it was towards the end of the match but when there was four or five of us left you were on the other side of the canyon.

Are the losing teams names blurred because it violates terms for showing how terrible they are?

Its also why despite playing nearly 2000 games of League of Legends I've played less than 50 ranked games. I play support mostly in League so I literally cannot carry most of the time. Kind of like Novakaine in this instance.

Don't blame you really my friend, just understanding that the flank failed due to team co-ordination and even I played a part in that.

Such is the Pug life.

I've found the most effective tactic is still doing a mike check at the beginning of each drop once you are actually in your mech and powered up. Then at least generally you get a few talkers.

I did.
I believe that, that was the talker who flanked with me.

the matchmaker needs more variables, i have been on recent drops where our light is narcing and noone on our team has lrms and it seems the enemy is all lrms or all lrms and multi ecm.

Even good players have bad games, so I don't like to throw mud in their face unless they are a jerk. I have never seen PGI act on any EoR screenshot posting, so I don't do it for them.

I understand that which is why I don't see the point in censoring the names of the losing team while allowing visibility of the winning team.

Karma is a nasty self-balancing tool.

I'll get 5 kills 500+ in my Locust ... and then next game I'll get one shotted having done less than 100 damage.

And then there's the winning and the losing streaks like 10 games in a row where you can't seem to lose, or just can't do anything right to save yer friggin soul.

Oooh, we're comparing **** teams. Six kills, four of which were solo and one other was most damage dealt. I literally killed half the enemy team and we still lost!

Actually I'd say your team wasn't all that bad, since I seriously doubt you were all out Rambo face-tanking in that Nova, not against anything heavier than a Firestarter anyway.

I've piloted Novas enough to know how you post a decent kill count in one, and that's by dropping distracted/damaged enemies. In order for that to happen, you have to have a team with at least half a clue to do the damaging/distracting.

The enemy team was spread out, I got those kills by running through them one by one (which is stupid easy on HPG since there is little noise), not from them being distracted. All but two were solo kills and one assist was most damage dealt, my team barely contributed to the kills. I didn't have to face tank because the enemy team wasn't very good, that's how I got so many kills.

Look again, only the assaults did any real damage. Two players didn't even manage to do 50! Regardless, 12 mechs should have easily been able to defeat 6.

These wipes are also a result of our TTK being so low. Since, if even 1 guy pokes out to try to scan for a target, he melts......0-1. Then, another guy tries to move positions and hes sighted, 0-2. Now the enemy wiht a 10-12 lead just rushes forward and mows over anyone not all deathballed together........and yeah, we get 1-12, 3-12, 2-12....fun...

I dont blame working hit reg either.

Good example for why assist numbers are meaningless. Tap a mech once at any point in the game and as long as he dies eventually you are credited with "assisting" in the kill. It would be like getting an assist in hockey because you touched the puck once and then your team managed to score at some point in the period.

They really ought to replace the assist column with "kill most damage"

And magically...only 2 on their side. How many Locusts did they have to sacrifice to get that?

Shiny and Chrome Locusts.
