Took 25 minutes to get in a match.

I only get to play as the mechs I like 2/4 drops due to restrictions.

No wonder it has fewer players.

Are you queued on the right planet, if I might ask?

The CJF/Steiner front is quite active right now. So you should experience quick queues.

No offense, CW is not for new players, underskilled solo, or lack of basic knowledge of CW.

If you want your CW experience to change and improve, all you have to do is ask how.

I think that is a crux of the CW debacle. A new player has to seek out people on the forums to even effectively know how to play CW.

Why we need a huge ass warning box and confirmation with a NPE to teach the game.

Nothing wrong with seeking advice on a forum. Best place to get it. All one has to do is ask, right?

But this guys didn't ask, does not even want to improve experiences, just a uninformed rant.

Love to help him out. All he has to do is come back and ask. Of course, will not like the answers and will instead want the game, this section of it, to change and support him - and that will not fly.

25 minutes of waiting...to end up in a PUG group with three guys using their own mechs against a 12 man premade.

Yup. Working as intended.

PGI should be thankful that a new player even leaves some form of feedback and not just silently de-installs the game, disappearing into the void of other F2P games. Because it's for certain that CW experience improves with larger number of players available (wait times...) and in order to get those numbers growing, PGI needs to know what needs to be fixed from a new player point of view.

First off:
The QUEUE INFORMATION display is utterly bad! Unless you play a LOT of CW you aren't going to know that that blue arrow sitting in the queue is a ghost drop waiting to happen and hopping in the queue behind them is really pointless if you want a drop and likewise many don't realize that the waiting RED arrow is an attack queued up and waiting in front of you. Not being able to accurately judge the queues of the matches (i.e. how many are waiting for a ghost drop etc) for new players or inexperienced CW players means a lot of pointless waiting.

Second:
the whole defending or attacking thing is quite bad. New players choose defend because they think they will be getting turrets and start in a nice shiny base... new or inexperienced players think that defending is going to be easier. There is no attack or defense in this game, planet wise, since there are attacks and defending regardless of it being an enemy planet you are initiating the attack on or a friendly planet you are defending. Something has to be done to make this whole process a lot clearer. Add to that the whole issue of defending a planet means you are more likely to encounter an organized group as your opponent and you get a lot of hate for CW from casual players.

Sorry just ranting.... tried to get FRR to attack a planet and could not scrounge 12 people to support a 12-man attack... those in CW wanted to defend.

You realise Oceanic servers are only staging the std 12 man/pug matches and all CW matches will still be based out of the NA servers

i believe pgi used the term "for now", which seems to me that at some point pgi will integrate those new servers with cw (for example hosting the match on the server that gives the majority of players the lowest ping).

also if more oceanic players join the game because they have a competitive ping, then more players who will check out cw, and hopefully some of them will stick around.

Thats how it should be for anything, right from the start. This isn't Reversi.

Community Warfare might be more populated, if there was a reason to play it.

Yeah its a little broken right now. Yeah you are going to get told by the nightly 12 man active runners to join a unit or group or something.

Write an email to support and submit your ticket. Hopefully this mess gets fixed with new feature in phase 3.

It's completely unacceptible to wait 30 minutes to play a game which is why my unit and i haven't play alot of CW. Its not fun; WAITING is NOT FUN.

You know back in the 90s you had a game manual to help you with anything in the game. Yeah CW has rather limited documentation and the responsibility of that falls under PGI, not the community (though it is nice of the community to help).

That being said CW needs new player support to atleast help them ease into it. Its not going to help population if there isn't support for the new guys.

You REALLY don't want changes to the current setup that allows 12 mans to stomp solos. Has your unit finally found a place where it can eke out wins - as a group against random solo players?
