You can always leg them. They can't grief much if they are legged...

Often I am afk for the first minute of a drop and when I get on I am legged. Not bright since even late comers can turn the battle even if they miss the first few minutes because they were on another window due to long que times.

I've had to role play being in the field with a spotty group of mercs when one turns on you. Everyone knows the only thing a mechwarrior can do in such a situation is to put him down like the rabid freebirth dog he is.

Role-playing is good. PGI should be encouraging us in this direction!

I've been known to "accidentally drop" artillery and air strikes on such undesirables.

and now.

can you imagine, there are newbies, who have no fricking idea, what they are doing ? like shooting buuldings, because they COULD be destructible (as they saw this in other games) ?
and then, how will you describe TKiller ? griefer ? nooooooo.
And how will you describe, game, where 11 of 12 players widely spread over the map, that there are 11 rambos, nobody listenying to any order, moveplan ? 11 griefers ?

Watch their builds. If they are customized heavily, chances are they arent newbies.

That being said, I have witnessed players who were awful and doing some pretty weird things. In a lot of cases, I think it was daddy busting a grumpy and 6 year old Junior playing his mech in his absence.

Or something like that.

Its not in the CoC that you have to stick togther

Its not in the CoC that you have to listen to anyone or play as a team (its a good idea but not required)

It not in the CoC that you are suppose to stand in front of you teammates knowingly and then apologize when you know what you are doing.

Its is in the CoC that you MUST participate in the spirit of the mode be it capping, killing, etc.

Shutting down and hiding halfway through the match is reportable and not playing to the mode or even trying to win in the CoC

TKing is reportable via the same CoC i keep talking about....

Sounds to me like you need to go read to agreement you said yes to in order to play this game. Being a noob and being a griefer are two completely different things and if you cant figure that out then thats on you.

I wish I could link the video. Who the heck came up with the "No, name and shame" policy?

I'm not in group queue often. However solo queue is not without trolls.

Had a guy hop on my back and ride me into battle giggling hysterically over coms and the moment I get within 600m of an enemy boom he explodes.

Not cool for sure but out of curiosity did he impede you ability to fight, maneuver or anything like that. Did his explosion cause your Mech any damage?

If not, was it more the "giggling hysterically over comms" that caused that Trolled feeling you felt?

The first time arround, I would have just ignored them.. the second time around, I would have head-shotted them and Voiped, Ooops, my pardon good sir! or "Yo face, goddammit!, or maybe something like "Did I do thaaat?"

Team Kills be damned.

Trolling is not cool and deserves an AC20 to da face.
Actually the best way to handle this is leg them and leave them.

Technically you haven't TK'd them, and there's no 'capturable' proof on their end that you did anything, only PGI would be able to tell, and well... Do you really think these ******* are gonna report you?

Nvidia users should be running shadowplay at all times.

If something like that happens you have the last 15 minutes of ready to be saved and used against said offenders.

I barely ever run into trolls, but I guess I can chalk up at least some of this thread to the disgusting exaggeration that takes place on these forums.

Generally a new/inexperienced player won't know enough to cause much deliberate grief. When a mech is obviously well piloted in its persuit of being an active liability to the team, this is griefing. In most cases, griefers can't keep their mouths shut anyway, so it becomes pretty obvious what they're doing.

Seen one this morning on Caustic Caldera Map. Noob Team could tell because the teams players just went in every different direction and only a few stayed focused as a group, sure sign you are going to LOSE!!

The last guy on our team who had loaded 4 Clan ER LL on to his mech and was firing them off in an attempt to kill himself by overheating instead of having to face the remaining enemy mechs alone. Took him several overheats and firing LOL! since his Timberwolf was efficient at DISSIPATING HIS HEAT. Would have been quicker and more HONERABLE to CLAN UP and charge headlong into the battlefront and try to take few of the ******** with you!

Heat suicide is something else entirely. This tactic is used by players that keep their balls in a silk purse and only put them on to have a nerdgasim. As you say, better to go out shooting reds than to get hung up on whether or not you're denying them a kill. Natural selection will eventually weed these people out of the gene pool because with their approach to life they're never going to get laid.

U MAD ?

with this, you will report 80% of all players. Laughable. NO.

Well thanks to how Mechs are sold, Even House Liao players can have Clan OmniMechs. And for a Drac... Seppuku is honorable.

Though I read that willful suicide is a violation.

Nice to know that the enemy is using "tactics" when they are down 8-12 and the last 4 start to deploy this "tactic" one after another. Nice to see this "tactic" utilized in the PUG queue where it belongs.

Nice to see this "tactic" used by PUGs at least once a match and as many as 4-6 times.

Nice to have screenshots of this "tactic" for PGI to review.

Glad we have the Group and CW queues to avoid this "tactic".
