Mwo looks very good close up, but we rarely really get to see the details properly, and there isn't much incentive to paint our mechs, so...

I played Hawken briefly a while back, and at the end of the round it puts your 'mech' on a platform with the other high scorers, you can earn and select consumable items to make your 'mech' do something for all too see. It's a cool little thing - not suited to battletech, but it's cool, and gives you a reason to care what your mech looks like.

I'de like to see at least something in MWO, it would need to be quick, or simply not interfere with the EOR screen.

I suggest rearranging the EOR scoreboard so it leaves about 1/3rd of the screen free in the middle, and have a close-up camera switch between the high-scorers mechs randomely (very low FOV camera, like 20-30 degrees), perhaps have them slowly torso twist/use their warhorns?

Thoughts?

PS: PGI, this will probably make players spent more mc on colours and patterns.

Are you sure PGI implementing that into MWO won't induce a copyright frenzy upon the Hawken developers?

Not to mention with mentions of bugs with parts of the mech body (something about this or that popping out or pointing in the wrong angle) and melee combat which involve mech body movement not even being considered... I somewhat doubt the ability of PGI to carry this out, especially with what seems to be a complicate to code/bug magnet game.

Don't know. I could be wrong.

i asked russ on the last townhall about additional fluff/flavor animations - ejecting, techs preparing your mech etc, those could be amazing close-ups on your mech, he answered 'not now' -_-

Hawken is dead and I doubt they have any claim on having a showboating post match screen.

I'd personally like this a lot.

It reeks of more eSports. So no, I do not approve.

I see what you mean with the way Hawken did it, what im really asking for is just more camera angles and rearranged EOR panels so you can see it. Like when the last mech dies you get the short rotating camera shot - i'de like to see that keep going but with different (and low FOV) camera angles, once the panels show up.

I'm not saying they copy it at all, I'de just like to see something other than the scoreboard at the end of a game.

It would be awesome to have a Hawken like screen at the end of the matches. Ordered by points and then the summary screen to the right/left.

Yep a few games have this for end of match. How this could be added in the most sim like fashion is a good question, but for sure it should be added in some way. Great idea.

This may have been delayed since it could involve Solaris and its design in some matches and the "galactic war map" in others.

For Solaris, OP's idea makes sense.

For regular match play, perhaps just show the victors limping home in their shot-to-pieces-but-still-walking 'mechs :)

Or for the Galaxy map it could be a classic victory/defeat screen. Good question and idea though. In fact the Fallout series always had great defeat screens. I always bring that series up, but it has done so many things right or in a memorable way.

Yep I know the construction kit really well so I am going to do some modding before I even start the game up mostly with NPC's. Some of the zombie creatures are a bit much so I mod them into humans, maybe aliens, I added blue aliens with cat tails and fangs before :), using a mod someone made in relation to that movie, and a few other mods. I cant do much with modeling myself. Not inclined to since so much great stuff out there. I will also check around for any other must have mods, some of which I am sure are put out by Bethesda actually.

Play Fallout 4 on a console? Very funny.

Fallout 4 will be a direct upgrade to Fallout 3 in every way but the basics will be the same. The big difference is the story...... Best proof how important story is to games and how much a story is worth, as well how much treating the player well is worth. Maybe a billion when it comes to Fallout 4?

If Fallout 4 didnt have a construction kit they would cut their profit by 1/2. All of this is including expansions and long term of course. Fallout 5 would be worse since everyone would know before hand. A construction kit is a luxury offline games have among others that Fallout has also captilized on in amazing ways like their bullet time mode.

Not that I'm going to (I'm obviously one of the PC gamer master race ;)), but Fallout 4 will have (somewhat limited) mod support on consoles.
