In other words after a couple hours and a stack of player feedback the mission was already accomplished, no reason to keep playing longer than that. A simple quick technical check for a feature that is already decided upon, so this thread was totally uncalled for.
Testing the balance overhaul is going to be another story, that will require some actual massive investment from the player base over a long time. That will be worth doing some hype for, it's especially important that the comp teams and big units commit to that testing since they will be able to give the most coherent and constructive feedback.

I think it's still worth being "hyped" because from the testers point of view, like myself, I want to be able to get a game after downloading gigs of data. I did not demand it of course, just wanted enough people to be there so I can test the new
It would be good if PGI could give some incentives for the upcoming Oceania server test so we could get enough people playing. Thankfully the are already considering this (Alex Garden's post on the feedback thread).

Which is totally different from what the OP did with this thread.
You're basically saying: "Hey everybody let's take the chance to **** around with free stuff and have fun together!"
And he's basically saying: "Get testing or PGI won't give you a server, and btw you don't deserve handouts and I won't respond to you kthxbai."
Can you spot the difference?

I don't care if you won't respond but I'll tell a story for the community.
The last time I installed the test server, once the test ended I wanted to disinstall it.
Then I clicked to normal MWO and this message appeared: "Run mwo repair tool".
I ran it. I clicked to play, and then this message appeared: "Last patch install went wrong, try run repair tool, or reinstall the game" (or a similar message).
I tried to disinstall, but it was impossible, 'cause "there was no programm there"
I tried to install, but was impossible too, 'cause "tool" was saying "disinstal first" to me.
So I had to format C:, reinstall windows, reinstall all my stuff, etc.
I will never ever install test server. EVER.
Here is what happened:
You installed the test client and accepted the defaults. This installed on top of your existing MWO installation instead of doing a parallel installation.
When you uninstalled the test version, it effectively removed both versions since there was really only one installation. This left a bunch of pointers to the normal client that were now broken.
There are other ways that could have fixed this error rather than a flatten and reload, such as this utility from MS:
https://support.micr...l_and_uninstall
Or manually editing registry keys which is effectively what that tool does, but requires someone who knows what keys to remove.
Not that any of this helps you now, more for if anyone else sees this and they run into the same thing.

The reward is showing that having a server that helps you out is worth it. And this helps them test it out? Why are people always so short sighted?

If CW was worth a dang, more people would play it. So maybe the issue isn't a split server population, but that CW generally isn't worth the time or hassle, ESPECIALLY as a solo player?

I tried that, and also to remove things manually in the reg. I remember having deleted any mwo and pgi related file in the reg.
But it didn't work.
I also tried a "cleaner" program, but...nothing.

Wait times in CW are long because CW largely sucks, and isn't worth the time ti takes, especially if you are a solo player. Whilst related, not the same issue.
