Hail MechWarriors,

I am sure there are many players who, like myself, accumulated a stupid amount of XP on their Mechs. Some of my more popular units have hundreds of thousands of XP accumulated on them. Combined, I am sitting on millions of XP points. My mechs are maxed out, and most of GPX items have been opened up.

As it stands, the on-mech XP has no use after you make them elite. It only clutters up the server with irrelevant data. I am hoping we can come up with some options that make it useful again.

Two important limitations:

This cannot be anything that kills off income generated by the game, since that would simply put its finances and viability in jeopardy.

And it cannot be anything that makes this a "pay 2 win" game. So XP + Money = super item is not an option.

And you thought it's going to be easy :).

I have not given it great amount of thought, and am shooting from the hip here:

1. Allow exchange of XP into MC at something like 100K = 1 MC ratio.
2. Unique Mech Titles, colours, at extremely expensive XP rates.
3. Make Mech renaming cost large amount of XP
4. Allow character renames for like 1 Mil XP
5. Allow players to expend unwanted XP on some community warfare functions. have not thought of anything too specific, sorry.

My favourite option would be to allow players to start "clan club houses" where clan members can hang out and share common space. They could outfit and pretty it up using XP. Think like an instanced room for clan members, where you could buy banners, decorate and maintain these club houses.

There are probably better options, let's hear them!

new skill tree is in progress (they said). so you can forget current one. What interest me, what will happen with current "free" XP on mechs, when new system will go alive. And dont tell me, it will be erased.... :?)))

They had plans for epic masteries... if you ask me make quirks unlock by epic masteries rather than just give it to every pug..

Unless the system segregates unmastered mechs from mastered ones then newbies are going to have a rough time.

Being a noob at first and getting better gear / skills later is life itself. I would find that motivational to play harder.

I was just thinking about this last night as I looked at some of my mechs. I have almost every module unlocked. I am only missing 5-6 and honestly those are what I consider the useless ones. I have all the weapon modules unlocked. I was looking at my 1.3 million in my Golden Boy and thinking, wow that's a useless bunch of numbers. I have a few hundred thousand in other mechs. Useless.

check box,
current chassis will no longer gain further EXP and instead will convert a 5-10% EXP from matches as extra GXP

How about being able to purchase consumables with the XP (the MC ones)? Say for 100K XP you can buy an MC consumable. This doesn't hurt the bottom line too much (I doubt many use MC on consumables), and it isn't infringing on pay to win or putting newbie at a disadvantage.

put bounties on other palyers at the beginning of a match, that would be fun.

50 GXP cna be used to put on a opponent, the one killing him gets 50XP for his mech.

Id like to see some form of unique cosmetic or C-Bill bonus granting unlock at a really ridiculous level of XP, like 1 million or whatever.

Personally I would like to see the XP tiers go alternate way such as allowing an additional hard point on your chassis at master level, cross tech customization (clan/is mix) maybe at master tier you could equip a clan engine on a IS mech after you unlock it.
I don't really expect it to happen, I just think it would be cool. Balancing would be a nightmare for devs with all that kind of customization.
Then again, there are many underused mechs that would see increased use if players were allowed to do such modifications through XP unlocks. I like my Awesome but due to its limitations on size, hit boxes and limitations of heat/engine size they have fell to disuse or sold. 80 kps Awesome wub was fun till the engine limitation went in. (aaahh... Memories)

Pool excess XP on any Mastered 'Mechs together and allow it to be spent on pilot customizations. I really want my pilot to be wearing shorts in the cockpit for some lore immersion. Expanding the pilot trees and making some skills mutually exclusive may be a better way to use XP.

The convert to gxp is useless as well. I have almost every module unlocked. More gxp does nothing and for me and a few others I am sure. When all the modules are unlocked, gxp is just like the mech xp. Useless.

Yes this is a problem. I have 891,768 GXP on my JR7F. It would cost 35,670 MC to exchange to GXP.


How about donating it to new players or something ? Like you can do with miles.
