I like to think most of that weight lies in the hardware necessary to feed each gun no matter where the ammo is located in the 'Mech. Even still, though, that's 1,100 pounds or about a third of my car's weight. Since they do damage to armor, each MG actually being a 20 or 25 mm cannon actually makes more sense to me. At the very least, 14.5 mm, a caliber that is/was actually used in an anti-tank role as well as anti-personnel.

The AC/10, LB-10X, and 20 don't sound wimpy...at least not tonally. The volume on them needs to be turned up a couple notches, but the sound itself is actually pretty fantastic.

What do sound terrible are the AC/2, AC/5, and every single Clan ballistic except the C-LB-20X.
