Did I missed the thread where people complain about it?

I was like reading

Quote

Clan Trilogy players will also receive a complete set of 4 Loyalty Medallions. No matter which Clan you fight for, be it Clan Wolf, Smoke Jaguar, Ghost Bear, or Jade Falcon, you'll be able to earn 5% more Loyalty Points for your contracted Clan

when equipping its respective Loyalty Medallion.

Seriously, you gave us tons of cockpit items and badges, but when you now make one like this, this kinda either forces us to use it, or don't get any of this.
One of the issue why I felt not motivated to participate in the clan invasion event. and further, if this item is an medaillon, this will mean people of the nvasion event + clan trilogy owner will not even be able to stack those boni?

Thats a bit disappointing.

Why can't this bonus not be one that applies to the account no matter if it's equipped or not? That would be a lot better

Oh no, I have to equip one hanging cockpit item or another to get a tiny increase to my loyalty points! What ever shall I do!? Woe is me!

Sorry, this just seems so silly to me. :P
Plus the grammar in the OP makes it hard to take seriously.

The question is, why giving a reward that is mostlikely countering the style part, which cockpit items should be. And so will either not be used or just used by people maximising the games rewards. But then this means loss of sytle you really like.
And so the reward that only a few wave I+II+III owner will mostlybe pointless.

A reward should give you some kind of hapiness, but this feels more like "just another pointless item I get for free".

it's about incentives, preordering the Wave 1 and 2 gave the MDD for free + a badge and title. Now owning anhter Wave package, just gives you those small loyality bonus connected to a specific item.

This just has some effects like: not motivating core IS palyers that still buy clanmechs. since thse "reward" has no use for them. Not those addicted clanpayers having maxed their faction already, Not those Clan invasion event players already owning the medallion form the event.

The incentive this reward creates is only adressing to a very very msall audience, and so is hardly an incentive for many players to spent money (which is what PGI also tires to apply with this "reward")

Yeha FWP, but a thing that matters from both points of views: the customers and PGI's.

Alright, well when you put it that way, I do tend to agree. It would be nice if I could hang my Dagger Star hologram and get that teeny little boost; after all, I did shell out a ton of money for all these 1's and 0's, I should at least get something nice that can compliment stuff I already have. :P

Works just like the Phoenix medallions. You'll get used to it.

Actually, it's 1.25% per medallion. It's 1/2 of what you'd get as an omnipod bonus for Mech XP.

It's hilariously pitiful.

No you are wrong... as posted on MWO "Clan Trilogy players will also receive a complete set of 4 Loyalty Medallions. No matter which Clan you fight for, be it Clan Wolf, Smoke Jaguar, Ghost Bear, or Jade Falcon, you'll be able to earn 5% more Loyalty Points for your contracted Clan when equipping its respective Loyalty Medallion."

So you get 4 medallions one for each Clan, each can be used on one mech in your 4 mech dropdeck and that mech gets 5% bonus to LP from CW. If you won one in the Clan invasion event you can put it into a 2nd mech for a 5% bonus on that mech too.

On a side tangent to this, my issue is that the reward for owning Wave 1/2 was INSANELY superior to this joke. I mean, couldn't we at least have got the pre-order colors and camo patterns for the Clan Waves as a 'second chance' kind of thing? I'd love to have the camo on my Wave 1 mechs (was too poor to pre-order wave 1).

The trilogy reward just seems kinda lazy/half assed personally. Not that I'm complaining I want more, its just...it seems so underwhelming.

No, it is documented proof that EACH medallion has a 1.25% LP bonus.

Now, if you have them all equipped in your dropdeck, that's swell because you get 5% total, but you can't diversify PLUS you can't directly move your cockpit items it the dropdeck screen either.

I challenge you to document a match with a medallion and the LP bonus. It's 1.25% EACH.

You realize that each medallion you equip boosts your LP gain, right? Stacking more medallions means that, up until you get to 4, each additional one boosts your net LP gain. Beyond 4, it lets you have fully boosted LP gain even when doing hot-swaps to your drop deck based on map and mission type.

It still uses the base LP value to calculate gains.

LP from Premium is 10%
LP from medallions are 1.25% EACH (assuming you have the correct faction version).
LP from Phoenix Pack mechs are 2.5% EACH.
LP from extended contracts provide the most... starting from zilch (7-day) to a lot (perma @ 50%) or plentiful 30% (28-day).

In any case, the medallions are a joke on the gains you get in CW.
