I just don't get it either, and it comes after the release and sale of 2 dedicated ecm mechs.
In the thread he says:-

How is that exactly? (bold part) Why does it make more sense for an electronic device to work at 90m and not 180m? Shouldn't it
make more sense for it to cover the entire map? This is electronics we are talking about.
Getting people to gather together even more is a terrible idea. Deathballing is one of this games major problems. The system needs to be completely rethought.
