This is what it looks like without shoulder pods so much smaller of a target. Just a little bigger than the spider, plenty of space, fast, clan tech engines. Unless they give it some crushing negative quirks its probably going to put every other light out of its job.

I doubt it'll get ANY negative quirks. At least not until it comes out for c-bills.

Enjoy it Clanners, you deserve to have the top mechs in all of the weight classes.

Is this really surprising?
It was pretty much declared tier 1 clan light the second it was announced.

Yep. RVN-2X laservomit sniper: say hello to Arctic Cheetah with 3 CERLLs above the cockpit.

I guess people won't actually use it like that, but how surprised will anyone be if loads of people equip 2 CERLLs above the cockpit with ECM and spend the whole match sniping?

More than 4-5 CERMLs will be too hot and it's not really worth giving up CERMLs to go for CERSLs.

But yes, it'll likely be top tier. Extreme powercreep has been a thing since the first clan package.

We don't call it that. According to the Ministry of Truth, it's called "Early Access."

I never get sick of the "my body is read" memes when someone is pumped up for a new favorite 'mech.

Oh, it's gonna be hella annoying. Those high torso mounts are crazy. I'm gonna be Streak-boating nonstop.

You can fit an ECM and 2 LPLs if you strip the arms and most of the head.

Whoops. Forgot the Kit-Fox I used as a base has a smaller engine.

Doesn't it have like 6-7 tons spare? Not enough for 3 CERLL surely.

9.5 stock. Of course, it will lose some of that to maxing armor and adding ECM. So I would estimate around 8 tons.

Because the Firestarter has obviously been the pinnacle of balance.

And here I was planning on running a NARC rig to help the LURMBois.
... Because, those n00bs need all the help they can get!

Guess it'll be a PulseBoat like everybody else.

Clan gets' a light mech that can keep up with inner sphere lights, no **** it's going to be top tier. It's top tier by default. Literally the only choice outside of the ten people who use the fox/lynx and adder. I say this as someone who likes the Adder.

Its still only a 30 ton light mech, it will have less armor/internal structure than the jenner, firestarter, and jenner iic. I predict it will be a good mech but not the end all be all people are expecting.
