Anyway, I'm an airsofter and I stumbled across this flyer for an event...
If you'll look at it, you'll notice there's a Locust used there. Not sure if their use of the art asset is authorized or not but I thought I'd bring this up.

Why a mech? It doesn't even make sense.

Send it to general@mwomercs.com or general@piranhagames.com.

Right? That was my first thought, before I realized it was a Locust.
I still can't believe they're that blatant with it. Must try harder, lads.

My line of thinking, as narrow as it may be, is that anybody who both plays MW:O and is an airsofter would be aware of this too, I suppose. I dunno, I'm the kind of person who wouldn't go to an event over something like this, it's bad business and it's damn lazy at that, but I'm rather uptight about this kind of thing.
I wasn't aware of the email address though, so I'll go ahead and shoot them an email.

Hope it's at least a Tiberius 9.1...

Now bringing it to someones attention and a phone call from PGI to the business/graphics artist does make folks a bit more cautious and/or at least realize they are crossing a line.
The real problem is if the asset belongs to Disney - they practice extreme prejudice

Haha...SC Village. I've actually played paintball there in the past. Hot as hell in the summer.

Somehow doubt it'll be worth more than a "cease and desist" email.

not sure why they feel the need to use a mech to advertise the game, there is plenty of kick ass paint ball guns, buggys and other odds and ends they could have used instead of a video game mech.
oh well wished i could attend the event i would like to play some paint ball again .

Whoa, steady there. There are some lines you NEVER cross, and making a deal with those demon lampreys is one of them. Bad for the soul. EVEN IN JEST!

I´d do it just to make their artist/designer aware that the internet is not their own private image bank... I would not say anything if it was some generic vector art... half of that is just re-packaged stuff anyway... But stuff like that either points to lazieness or a lack of education... a CnD takes care of both. =P
