Don't you DARE nerf this mech due to IS whining! We finally have a light with potential. Leave it alone. Thank you.

Well before the thinking was IS had the well defined light mech crown and Clan had the full repertoire of streaks and the various tech gap advantages. Now, I am not sure how that all works out.

Excellent observation. While I'm certainly happy to say that the Cheetah doesn't feel more powerful than my IS lights it will be really interesting to see how it changes Clan drop decks. Might see more clan assault based decks and less heavies. It will be interesting.

The Clans should have the best mechs in all of the weight classes! Not just 3 of 4!

Well it IS clan tech.
When should is tech be equal to clan? Never.
Only way is won was with getting smart and using better tactics.

Oh, i'd be perfectly fine with Clan tech being better than IS tech, as long as IS got the numbers advantage.
12 v 10 would be fine, for the most part.

pretty sure the entire community (almost) has brought the number matching up with a reduction in the nerfage to clan mechs and or the over quirkage of other mechs......... as per usual fell on deaf ears cause the way they haev balanced so far is massively successful

Just going to put it out there that this is bad thinking.
In BT lore, yes Clan Mechs are better, however is lore they were also less numerous and (generally) didnt use organised group tactics to the same degree as IS, creating an asymetric balance.
In MW:O neither of these factors are in existence, as such clan mechs *need* to be balanced against equivalent tonnage IS mechs regardless of what the lore says - if they dont then there is literally no point playing IS mechs. After all why would i chose to run an inferior mech? Outside of the occasional 'for lulz' moment.
This 'my clan mech SHOULD be OP in MW:O mentality needs to go, its is not helpful and doesnt make the game better.
That said in generally confortable with the IS/Clan balance right now, the Cheetah is an interesting addition to the clan roster - i look forward to seeing it in CW as it should hopefully make clan drop decks more diverse and less full of boring Ebon Jaguar/Stormcrow spam

The engine working background noise sounds just like a flock of Canada Geese flying by outside your house...
You get into the match and are concentrating and then you notice it... "Honk"
And you're like....
"FFS! Those damn birds are already migrating? Don't crap on my lawn stupid brids!"

i dont disagree but it hasnt been tried and what has been tried very very few people think is working
It has been tried, just not in tests open to everyone. Apparently it didn't work out and it wouldn't work in mixed tech pug queue drops anyway.

While it might be a decent light, it still remains a light. It has neither the staying- nor the firepower required for CW.

I see them used all the time in CW on a daily basis, usually my first drop mech and I average 500-700 points in it.
