This particular case was cutting 2.5 damage+splash SRMs down to 1.5 without splash...Then removing the ability to pinpoint (or close cluster) SRMs+A when they removed the spiral pathing, instead they just made Artemis reduce spread by 34%.

ERLL beam duration is also just way too long to make them useful on a 45 tonner. Even if you manage to get to 800m you're going to do poor damage because of heat issues on 3ERLL. On Boreal or Alpine it's fantastic, on everything else it's dead weight.

SCat is a fun mech when you can abuse JJs and agility, but how much can you really abuse those when everyone and their mother knows they can beat you in a 1v1 duel? The thing that makes other flanking harassers like the 2x good is that they can outplay you with a variety of tools. If Scat had -50% beam duration it would be tier 1 because it could actually effectively harass with LPL/ERML without getting rekt. I'm not saying it needs that much quirking but even 30% would go a long way and in no manner increase its firepower


I think we can all agree scat can use more quirks. 3 erlarge is only too hot if you always fire 3 at once. Which you should not do, only in rare cases/cool maps. Its mostly there in case you lose an arm, which does happen alot. I agree duration is long, but using 2 clan er large isnt that hard, and the scats manueverability/agility actually make it pretty easy.

That's quite a bit of credit to give to McGral....didn't know he was in the trademark business.

Also, the BADDER is leaps and bounsd better then my SHC now that i can remove that useless flamer. It even has as many hardpoints as the S-CAT not even counting its arms.

It harrasses very well and I've seen and done 700-900 damage matches with erppcs and lpls...


Those are too hot for anything but peek-a-boo on the Shadow Cat. If not for DHS 1.4 yeah sure, but DHS 1.4 means lasers only, but the Scat only has 15 tons of payload so even Mastered the 2xLPL get hot very fast. 2x ER large is all it does in general combat.

Anyway, you all bring you Shadow Cats with 2 lasers, I'll bring something that works. It's just the way the game gets played, failed mechs sit in their hangers for the mechs that work if you want your team to get the win. Scat needs more to compare to the other mediums and lights already out there.

I tried getting a refund after less than 2 hours of play time.

They said no this game isn't about buying something demo'ing it and refunding....which I said most any other decent company would refund if someone barely used something they paid a lot for and unhappy with it oh well guess I wont bother supporting this company anymore not like it's gonna be around all that much longer with the good next gen games coming out towards ends of this year.

These new mechs are getting worse and worse, the cheetah is pathetic, so is the shadow cat or any of the recently released mechs....The first wave is the only mech wave that had real value even with nerfs it was easy to get a decent score but tehy are trying to make even those solid mechs hard to use with lots of quirk nerfs.

THis game just ******* sucks nothing is balanced they clearly have no clue how to do this.

Hold on. The Cheetah isn't good? This is a mech where I'm currently enjoying an easy 7.5 KDR. (45 kills to 6 deaths) I murder most players 1v1, and usually go toe to toe with Firestarters and win.
