Call me dumb, but what defines a point in each game mode. The contest states that you need to get a minimum of 30 points in a match, how does this work?

if you earn a match score of 30 in any of the modes you get 1 event point. get 3 event points (3 matches wit 30 or more match score) per bracket and you get the first reward.

On the end of match screen it lists a "point value" representing your contribution to the game. The score is based on kills/assists/damage/spotting/role actions and other factors. If this value is over 30 then you earn a point for that match in whichever game mode you were playing .. skirmish/assault/conquest. Community warfare matches (if included) usually require a score of 80 to qualify.

They are referring to your "Match Score". If that is above 30, you get a point.

It's not a contest, it's a giveaway. Just play as you normally would, and as long as you get a match score of 30, you qualify.

does this man, to totally complete it we have to play 6x24 matches? because the initial event page suggests this, but the torunament page suggest something like 2x 24 matches

and then the personal pae again says 6x 24; LOL just 144 games at 30+ score to do ROFL

30 points is stupid easy to pull off.

also i really dont like the prizes, warhorns are nice, but im concerned that giving so many of them away like this will make the game rather annoying.

right now everypony uses kickers from one of the previous events
at least there will be more different horns around

3 game modes per each server i.e. x2, 24 games each i.e. 3 * 2 * 24

if you want 6 flags, lol

I can also see the matchmaker having a fit with this contest. Since there are so many games to grind it is unlikely that most folks will get them all. In that case, it is more efficient to specifically select the game mode and servers and work on one at a time. However, if everyone does this to complete the contest more efficiently, the pool of players for each game mode/server gets much smaller, wait times will likely increase and match quality decline. It will be interesting to see how it goes and whether PGI gets some interesting metrics from it.

In 9 days? If you average 2 hours of gaming a day for 9 days, and 4 games per hour, that's your 72 right there. Just play the game to have fun and you should be fine. And remember that the stuff being given away is worth chump change. Nice extras and all, but if you value your time that poorly don't let your boss know, he'll cut your pay.
