I loved the Warhammer in TT and I think I was most successful in this mech, but the loudout I used (2 PPCs, Pulse Lasers, Streaks) would totally suck in MWO, since PPCs are total bull at this time.
Many of the canon builds evolve around either gauss, AC or PPCs and the PPC builds are just unusable. (Like the latest Awesome... 3 ER PPCs? unusable in MWO, loved it it TT. Of course it rules in MWO with med lasers and SRMs instead of the useless PPCs...)

They were pretty rare in 3025 with only about 2000 existing and then we add that only 1 factory creating the spare parts in existence got stomped and taken over by the clans in 2049 or so...
And no new ones are in production.
Then we spread out these old museum pieces over the several hundred:
-Worlds
-Factions
-Merc Corps
-Houses
-Museums
which tells us that any 'transformer' style mech is as likely to pop up on the battlefield as a pink thong wearing Natasha Kerensky waving Pom-Poms.

Your own argument is flawed since the mechs in MW:O, except the Atlas, are very, very rare. If you are going to use logic to deprive a sizeable part of the player base of LAMs then you have to use it for all mechs in the game. Also, you do realize that LAMs predate Robotech by a year. The more correct answer are the LAMs that Robotech ripped off from Fasa.

Centurions, Hunchbacks and Jenners are not rare in our current timeline. Nor are Catapults. I am also pretty sure that the COmmando and Raven saw quite a bit of use.

And the actual correct answer would be the LAM that FASA ripped off from Bigwest which made Macross. Funny, people still think Robotech is anything more than a bunch cobbled together legitimate anime and that FASA actually designed any of it's original mechs.

It's hard to rip off something when you have a license. Reading comprehension anyone?

You are sorta right sorta wrong,

Many variants of this venerable design were produced through its lifetime, and theCatapult's rarity began to reverse in 3033 when Yori 'Mech Works was contracted by the DCMS to produce the completely-revamped CPLT-2K on Al Na'ir. The greatest change to the chassis came later, with the introduction of the CPLT-C3, which swapped out the original's LRMs for much larger and more powerful artillery missiles. These models were put to excellent use, especially when paired withRavens, and paved the way for new design advancements.

Yes, Bigwest certainly licensed it's biggest product. Must be why they were in a legal battle for so long with the idiots licensing it's stuff. Legal comprehension anyone?

Except that Bigwest didn't and still doesn't own the designs. Only Studio Nue does. Legal comprehension anyone?

Oh so now you know who Bigwest is. Good job.
They were the advertising agent that sponsored SDFM, but that still doesn't mean they owned the copyrights to the mechs and character designs. Studio Nue owns them and has always owned them.

Right. So how did Robotech rip off FASA exactly?

When every player in the game can own an Atlas, regardless of purchase cost.
Just saying...
