You need to play 144 matches to fully complete this event right?

How many times do I need a Lyran Flag?

Oh Wait, Its a Terran only Flag? My Character isn't from Earth!

Ah, I'll assume you're kids (excuse me, young adults), in your 20's or so? No real responsibilities beyond holding a job? Maybe a girlfriend? Yeah.

Wait a while, see just how well that holds up.

Edit: To be clear, I don't fault you folks who have that time, I was sincere in my statement. I envy you folks. Sadly, when one has a family, needs to work, maintain a house, care for children? You can't just hole up and play video games for hours on end; wives and children need attention, meals need cooking, the endless mess children create needs cleaning, household stuff needs fixing (to a level you can never believe until you have children)... The list goes ever on.

If I can get an uninterrupted hour of gaming 4-5 times a week, I'm very lucky.

It takes a certain kind of skill to create gaming opportunities my friend.

4 kids, average work day is 10 hours with 2-4 hours of travel time plus random weekly side work.

2 hours a day with the kids, 2 hours with the wife, 4-6 hours for me.

If you want to play more, you sleep less, or do less around the house and get yelled at. Simple trade off.

The real question though, how does my wife get in 8+ hours of reality tv and drama movie watching in every day while watching the kids, doing shopping, and cooking meals? If I knew how she does that I could increase my game time twofold!

144 matches above 30 points

You do not understand how difficult that is to achieve for a vast majority of the players on my team and the enemy team and just in general.

Well if it was easy it wouldn't be called a "Challenge" now would it?

16 games a day = average match of 7 minutes + 1 minute for searching + 1 minute for random between match randomness; 9m per match = roughly 2 and a half hours per day, every day, for 9 days...

assuming you never fail to score.

Again, I say: "Man, I envy people who can have any chance of doing that. To have so little that requires your time would be magical. "

The only time you should fail to get 30 points is if you d/c, its not even that hard of a hurdle to clear in some of the worst light mechs.

No no, you all want to get flags. It'll be the new way to claim planets in CW.

Do you have a flag?

I have the next couple of weeks off and I'm not planning to go away this year, we'll see how far I can get.

I haven't played this game since there were only 4 mechs, and have been back for about a week. Can someone explain to me how these events work? If I just want the millions of c-bills, what precisely do i have to do?

So sad! I rarely don't score 30 points. That's like 1 kill and 250damage. Or Multiple assists and 350damage?

Well, since points are granted for kill assists, kills, spots, winning, and damage, it's not really that hard to get 30 points.

events like this make me glad i'm a stay at home dad with my son in summer camp because I have loads of free time throughout the day. Only responsibility is daily chores and those only take 30-40 mins of my morning. Ah the good life... :P

If you have anything resembling a social life, you won't be qualifying for everything.

That's easy as watching the kids is as simple as keeping an ear out for strident wailing about some terrible pain. + the ladies are hyper attuned to the crying thing and like to get it stopped asap. None of that takes more than 5 minutes or so away from the TV..

Actually, it's only 300 damage to qualify. Match score is:

Damage/10 + 1 for kills/assists/spotting/captures + 10 for win. If you win the match you reasonably should win unless you got killed at the beginning of the match, or just suck.

If you lose, it's still easy to get 300 damage.

And this boys and girls is the lesson of the day. If you aren't doing at least 300 damage in a match, change your approach so you are...in doing that simple goal adjustment you find you get more kills (a sub goal) and win more games (the main goal).

Its actually when you DON'T hear the kids is when something is wrong, like walking in on my son finishing dumping my entire card collection into the bathtub.... I got 6 kills that round though...

He's such a jerk, does anyone have a kid they want to trade?
