Oh come on! Like you're not drooling of joy when you see the vids. Come on, admit it!
This is exactly what we asked for in the Mechlab Feedback thread. PGI listened to us, PGI understood it and PGI delivered what we were asking for ...again!!! That is an awesome trend there!
I see that PGI is including the community into improving the game since a few months now. And this is a wonderful cooperation. It seems like a lot of it is Tinas 'fault'. She really puts a lot of work into it to gather our ideas or concerns; into keeping us informed. Someone wrote in to her welcome thread she should inform us about Russ tweets. Ok, the tweets aare still missing but we have that Instagram thread now. The game is much better now than half a year before. Thank You PGI! And Thank You Tina!
Hey, I'm glad they are doing it. But it doesn't matter to me personally, because I am fine with, and find the list view to be faster. I'm just glad they are apparently giving the McDonald's Cash Register option for those who want it. At least I hope it's an option, as I would prefer to keep my list view.

This:
is what we asked for...
and i'm not seeing it.
so all this hype over a bunch of thumbnails with patterns... just looking pretty with no practical purpose?

Don't give up hope, it seems they ARE working on improving the 'Mech Info box as well:

in fairness, no that's not what the vast majority of posts about it asked for. Most Just cried "too many clicks/too hard to find mah mech now! I can't be bothered to read, it's a video game!!!" But last I checked, yes they were adding functionality to the tiles, too.

Now all we need is a favorites tab.

It's amazing how we have an inventory where we can see what stuff isn't equipped. Would be nice if that would let us select a piece of equipment and give us a list of where it is equipped, or at least take us to a mech select screen that shows all the mechs that have it.
Or just let us pull up the equipment selection tool in mechlab and then popup the mech select screen with all the mechs that equip it.
Being able to pull the equipment off without changing mechs would probably be too much to ask. But least we wouldn't have to search through every mech.

That's where you're wrong. It's no different than our skill tree select screen.
Guys like me with 100+ mechs, the drop down for each individual chassis helps me find my mechs faster than the old system.
