Hello Dev,
Is it possible to add a google cardboard VR for controlling the mech?. Google cardboard is similar to oculus rift and cheaper also. It can be used like a neuro helmet. The pilot can use it in 3 possible modes:
Mode 1:
VR only for free looking in the cockpit, the targeting and torso are controlled by using the mouse
Mode 2:
VR controls the torso, mouse controls the targeting. VR controls the torso for coarse targeting movement and mouse controls targeting small movement.
Mode 3:
VR replaced the mouse for controlling the torso and targeting movement. But it depend on how precision the VR device is.
Best regards.

Bump.
this is a good idea, and helps push VR in general. I don't know what goes into supporting the OR, but once they do that, maybe some of that ground work can be applied to Cardboard/Smartphone support.
A VR capable mech game on steam would probably be a nice selling point. And if you can buy a plastic Cardboard headset for 20 bucks, you're in.
