Yes. Long break made it all better.

People that still play and know they are bored remind me of gamblers sitting in front of a slot machine. They just keep pulling the lever while steadily losing time and money. "Have I ever told you the definition of Insanity?" Personally having completely quit playing MWO and other stuff like WOT has been a boon and return of my time/sanity. I probably spend less time with games these days, but the ones I go back to have returned a sense of "fun" for me with games.

In other words, there are plenty of things to choose from besides sitting in front of the slot machine that is MWO. If it must be BT-related, like sometimes I need, the choices are (1) Load up MegaMek-and create a scenario/campaign or (2) Load up an old favorite MW game.

If it needs to be something different. Peruse GOG's "best selling list" of all time on their site and pick a classic to playthrough, (some amazing ones on there ->Torment, Duke Nukem 3D, Witcher 1, Witcher 2, Baldur's Gate, Alpha Centauri, System Shock 2, Deus Ex, Wing Commander). Or pick a game in your back log and simply play it until its finished. Or pick a new popular game on Steam, on console, or whatever to sink time into that (Witcher 3, Life is Strange, etc.).

Well.. to be honest.. I also feel the boredom troll's presence..

When I started to play, some 4-6 months ago, I was sooo over the moon about this game.. Now.. since i HAVE NOT bought clan wave 3.. and don't have that much real money to spend on mechbays, cammos and general fluff... I find less and less reasons to play.

Its always just more of the same... Boom, boom, wub wub, target destroyed, kill kill, die. Wrinse and repeat x times.

Since my clan WON the battle of Tukayid and completely surrounded Terra, I see no lore-based goals either. Taking planets has no benefit other than stamping a dot with my unit's tags..

So please, tell me.. why should I keep playing?

When I originaly started playing, I had just aquired DragonAge3 and the new X-COM Add-on DLC.. but did not install them... Maybe its time to give them a go?

PGI... I CHALLENGE YOU TO PROVE ME WRONG.

Sadly, I don't think you'll even see this post, or that you even care about a player that didn't pour half his paycheck into your pockets..

And there will be more and more of players that feel like me in the months to come..

So.. yeah.. PROVE ME WRONG.

To be honest, I'm surprised team deathmatch kept you entertained for this long.

Seriously though I have the same problem of having those two games and not installing them. However, my reason is I want to finally finish New Vegas before Fallout 4 comes out in November.

how did it keep CS players entertained for 15 years?

it is palying with and vs others thats making it interesting. and as long as a proper balanced diversity exists yo can find much to do within this them vs us setup.

Last time I checked CS had a bomb and hostage mode.

New Vegas is a better game than F3 by quite a bit. Better story, better villians, more memorable locations, etc. The only drawbacks were the early bugs.

I have a feeling F4 will be disappointing, at least for fans of Fallout 1 and 2. the reason being Bethesda butchered the Fallout universe with 3. Obsidian has many former Black Isle guys and did a decent job giving NV a closer atmosphere to the first two however.

That said, I'll keep an open mind and judge F4 on its own merits.

Oh, back to the subject at hand... MWO indeed gets tiresome if you play too much. I find I need to take breaks from the game for a few days or a week, after my official burnout in April. I took almost 2 months off even though I was burning premium time.

I mean, you guys mentioning 'breaks'

Lol the fact is I've taken longer breaks than some of you have been playing the game.

Not that it means much, just sayin - been there, done that. Doesn't change the fact that the depth of the game is low, particularly in CW, which is supposed to be immersive. It's supposed to be end-game. End game is supposed to be more than a ridiculously insulting 2000 grind. The dude who mentioned they won Tukayyid hit this with a critical strike. What the **** is the point if it's being reset. What's the point if the games pop and maturation cycle is downhill and CW still isn't even out of beta.

Game needs a ******* purpose.

I don't need a purpose. I know what my purpose is. Put that purpose in the ******* game. /micdrop

I remember that episode and it was one of the worst choreographed moments in televised history. It even beat some episodes of Batman!
