So, with my return to this game after a break, I took a fancy to the ENF-4R and went and bought It . I upgraded it with double heatsink, endo-steel etc. I thought about how to build this mech, clearly it's ment to shave off with a large laser and then hit em hard with it's ac/10. Seems sorta cool, like a supportive brawler maybe. I thought.

Then I replaced the ac/10 with a ac/5 and filled the laser hardpoints with medium pulse lasers. turned it into a 50 ton wubmech. First few matches I got destroyed, but it turns out to be a good build (besides the large lack of speed as I don't have an XL for it yet!) It surprisingly doesn't overheat as much as I was expecting too! Anyway, I'd like to hear if I've screwed up or not, I suppose it doesn't matter that much when I'm having fun but still, lemme know! :D

I realy think Enforcer is an underrated Mech, I have not played with it for a while(mastering other mechs) but I did my first 8 kill in it and I do 1000+ regularly. I just love it.

For the 4R, this is my favorite build so far.

I run this and a Wolverine in my CW deck.

If I want to run AC-10 for its quirks, centurion is the way to go.

This is a good mech. I was running it with 5 MPLasers and a STD engine. It was a good setup, but didn't jive with my play style. I changed it up, but I forget what I'm running in it now.

Still, with lots of energy and a ballistic slot, it is hard to go wrong with that.

....

To each their own I suppose.

Be nice if the only use most people got out of mechs weren't by making em cookie cutter, meta minmaxed sword and boards, but it is what it is, I suppose.

If you like it with wubs, you can put a max STD260 and 5MPL in it. It's got a full shield side and is surprisingly deadly.

The XL260 3LL/2ML is darn good too. Honestly, the quirks make a ballistic on it a waste.

Your way of playing isn't wrong, but neither is the competitive approach. Just a matter of perspective. To each their own, as you say.

I like running Gauss and 5 MLs on this one.

Thought I said that. Though what's the point of playing an IP if by the time you are done, nothing remotely resembles what is supposed to? Every mech with empty attend. Etc.

Oh, you say it, but you sure dig at anyone who plays with a competitive approach. :)

Not so. I dig at those who preach Comp as the one true unadulterated gospel. I simply don't understand the appeal for the non Pro masses to try to imitate the sterile game the comps play.
