The clarity...the saturation... :o

I've got a decent rig and I've got the ingame video settings cranked to max but it doesn't look like that video.

It mostly just looks brighter to me, turn up your gamma and crank up the contrast in your display settings.

I am pretty sure some video editing software was used to make the footage look better.

If it was just brighter you'd lose the shadows which didn't happen in the vid. Plus did you see the cockpit view? You could see the sides. Looked great!

Dial back your view to 90-120 from whatever it is to add more cockpit viewable are in settings.

For the rest, what Video card are you using? Do you have a second dedicated to physics? What monitor are you using?

Can't remember off the top of my head. At work but I'll look it up when I get home. What do you recommend?

So:

1 vid card - geforce gtx 780
Older monitor - 1920 x 1200 Samsung Sychmaster 2433

I haven't used sweetfx, so I won't discount the possibility that it was used, but more than likely this was some After Effects magic. The dynamic range is much higher than normal, which can't be adjusted to that extent via brightness and/or contrast in-game. In AE though, you can combine several layers to boost the lows, lessen the highs, and combine it all into one, creating a high dynamic range video.

Looks like the video clip was edited, adjusted and optimized in sony vegas, windows movie maker or whatever utility they used to piece the screencaps together.

It didn't look like that in-game.

They just polished it afterwards to make it look better.

Wauweli is great, Man.
I love his stuff and wish he'd post more.

As far as getting that kind of quality, hop over to the Perfect Screenshot Thread in the Community Hyperpulse Generator.
http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4424291
They discuss some user.cfg settings you can employ to help get your ingame graphics better.
Beware, some of these settings are pretty brutal to your machine. YMMV.

Cheers!

If you want to see the sides, just raise the FOV and use a Track Ir. With it you can even see the headless body of your pilot lol

My rig stats are in the sig below, but with a Titan X and a 1440p 21:9 aspect 34 in monitor, you get the expanded cockpit view by default without changing the view slider at all so no distortion but wide angle views. The Titan X makes all the effects look very nice, though sometimes when you get sunstrike blinding you it can be a bit of a bummer having flash graphics.

The perfect screenshot thread has many examples and explainations how to get that fidelity. It's NOT Vegas or Movie Maker editing, no one uses movie maker, everyone who did was already shot dead I recall.

wrong on so many levels dude, even if they used post effects, its not the reason why it looks so good.

sweetfx can def make colors more vibrant and increase contrast.

This is what my game looks like right now, most settings are high, 1080p, and some sweetfx shaders, some screenshots comparing with and without sweetfx turned on, on tourmaline desert.

Couple more to show off how different the colors on a mech's paintjob can look.
