That thread is full of people encouraging others to equip AMS. No one is crying about AMS eating too many missiles.

ECM is a staple, no doubt. However, I too think it is a bit much.

I believe that line of sight mechs should be able to get a missile lock on ECM mechs with a "lock on time" penalty.

I also believe BAP should reduce the effects of ECM more so than it does. Perhaps increase the detection range for BAP equiped mechs AND bring the lock on time for BAP equipped mechs vs ECM mechs back down to normal.
