title says it all, haven't found it, so i suppose there is none?

There is faction chat available in the "Faction" tab. Sadly, it's not accessible while you're actually doing anything, so it's kind of hard to use.

You can try making friends in matches that you get into. Team chat with Y and all chat with T. All chat is automatically set to off so you'll have to turn it on in settings if you want to use it.

Otherwise use the forums here. Try the hiring hall if you want to get into a unit and make friends that way. Someone will surely try to recruit you.

Yes there is general chat in game. Go to settings on the bottom right to turn it on. Here is a video if you can't find it:

The social aspects of the game need work, admittedly. People here on the forums are mostly friendly and there are some that are willing to help teach you or refer you to places where you can hook up with a group.

General Chat in matches are turned off by default. Can be activated in the options menu. But the social features of this game are very unconvienent. If you want to add someone you meet in a match you have to remember his name and send a friendsrequest when you are out of that match.

Yes. You'd expect something more convenient like a system that includes:

1) Most recently played with - a menu that lists players you recently played with and it has the option to add them as friends.
2) Option to add people as friends during a game.
3) Combine forum inbox to in-game inbox for a pseudo messaging system. Message them on forums and have them read it in-game if they don't visit forums.

Hopefully some improvements come along the way.

Call me spoiled, but i think all these elements are standard nowadays.

In-game, I used to use the text and then VOIP whenever possible to co-ordinate the battle, but no one listened and we got slaughtered every time, so I have given up doing anything I read via text or hear over VOIP/TS whatever - unless it is a smart plan to win the battle. Solo games and CW both the same
