Im looking into getting a joystick aswel, making the game much more realistic.
Then again im on a tight budget. With max 120$ to spend.

So it will most likely be the Saitek X52 aswel.
Which is currently on sale for 100€ in a store hearby. Would this be a good choice?
Lets just hope it stays on sale till my paycheck gets here.

I have the X52 Pro and like it. But, the springs used on the stick are not very stiff which many people don't like. Not sure
if the normal X52 has the same problem. 100€ is the normal prize for the X52, so take your time testing.
Ideally you should go to a store and compare the feel of different sticks before you buy one.

I have the same setup but with a Razer Imperator. I used Joystick in the left hand back in Mechwarrior 4.

Joysticks and other devices...
I think that the most comfortable ans the easiest way to play will be using keyboard amd mouse.
Not the best for immersion, but i prefer utility.

Kensington 4 button trackball and Nostromo worked fine for me in MW4. Should work here too.

Well, after buying Legendary founder, I think I'll stick to my Mouse or maybe my XBox 360 for a while...

Maybe a Warthog later... Got to find some space to actually be able to use it though... At that rate, I'll soon need a bigger gaming spot...

It looks so custom made... You don't select joysticks that fit in your cockpit, but you build a cockpit that fit with your joystick... :D

I my self am going to play with cyborg v.1 flightstick (joystick) and possibly going to get rudder pedals and that would make it immersive.

I have this joystick since time immemorial and together we have played and beaten many a game (MechWarrior 4, Battlefield 2,3,2142, IL-2, Lock-on, X-wing:Alliance, Battlestation:Pacific, Operation Flashpoint, Arma 1,2, X2,3, and a few more I am sure)

I have a MS Force Feedback Sidewinder 2 ... felt for 15 years ... but he's very dependable and will rock my mechs. :D

I like the Logitech 3D Pro just can't seem to play using a mouse.

Is there a way to get the mouse to move the torso in MW4?

Never could get my x45 to work properly. Then Boo kitty my champion mouser added the siatek joy stick and throttle controller cords to his fun things to eat list. If he ever found a mouse of the rodent variety he would be at a loss but he is the bane of computer mice. That said bitter apple spray works.

Red

I have a saitek x45 similar to some other folks, the rudder rocker switch on the throttle would control leg direction and the stick would control torso/aiming. I think it's straight bonkers that some people use rudder input for torso! :D but to each their own.
