Mech Art- A painting, drawing, 3D rendering, digital manipulation, comic, marble sculpture, etc. of a Mech or Mechs inside the BT or MWO universe.
Fan Video- A video pertaining to the BT or MWO universe. No limit on length or content.
Character Art- A painting, drawing, 3D rendering, digital manipulation, comic, marble sculpture, etc. of a character in the BT or MWO universe. Please ask permission to use characters not belonging to you!
Best Model- 3D printed models, painted up replicas from the table top, hand carved whale bone statues of Mech(s) in the BT or MWO universe
Best Screen Shot- A screen shot from MWO. Picture CAN be manipulated, altered. The more epic/badass/aaaaaawwwwwww yeah, the better!
Fan Favorite- YOU the fans pick this winner! Can be from any category!
Rules:
1) Contest lasts 20 days. STARTS on Monday, August 17th at
2) All submissions must be ORIGINAL CONTENT. Fresh, shiny, and chrome! That's what we wanna see in this contest! So while your old stuff may be great, you cannot repost it for this contest. Likewise, no plagiarism or stealing another artist's stuff and passing it off as your own!
3) You MAY enter multiple categories, but you MAY NOT use the same content in multiple categories.
4) Please be sure to indicate what category your artwork is being submitted to.
5) If the Fan Favorite has already won in another category, the runner-up will win the Fan Favorite award. If this happens, that will be indicated.
6) All submissions can be posted in the "Golden Brush Event" thread that I will start on Monday.
Minor disclaimer: All content submitted belongs to the person who created it. This includes before, during, and after the contest.
Alright, forget all that nonsense, what's the loot look like?!?
Prizes:
The winner of each category will receive $35 via PayPal which is enough to cover 1 purchase of an a la carte Mech.
Minor disclaimer: Obviously, the is no binding clause saying you must spend the prize money on a Mech, but com'on, you went through all that effort might as well get a shiny new ride out of it right?
A panel of impartial judges (I'm prepared THIS time!) will look over the submissions after the last day of the contest. Each will select their favorites for each category. The submissions that get the most votes will win their category. Tie-breakers will be decided by me because I enjoy having minor amounts of authority.
Minor disclaimer: If there is only one entry for a selected category, congrats you auto win! If there is no entry for a category, I just saved $35 bucks.
Any questions, comments, or concerns can be addressed in this thread or via PM. If I feel that any questions/answers in PM conversations need to be made public for the sake of transparency I will post them to this thread as well.
